BowlingGreggy: "SL will be disapointted with this total. At one stage 200 looked a real possibility. Just too many wickets at bad times. "

Jake L: "Sri Lanka's main issue is that aside from Hasaranga, all of their bowlers are absolutely useless with the bat! Once you get them 5/6 down there's no real hope left."

Kusal Mendis: Happy with my form. First six was hard, there was grass and movement. Happy with how I went after the first six. Pathum and I were watchful early on. Then we took turns to go after the bowlers. Wanted to get 160-180, then we did well in the middle overs. Happy that my family are able to see me play. They, and I, have had a great time in New Zealand.

2:43pm: Another excellent start from Sri Lanka, that they couldn't finish off on a high. But they have managed to put up 182. It was a challenging start with Nissanka and Mendis, finding it difficult early on against good swing bowling. They rode it out well, Mendis went on to make a well-paced 73. Henry and Milne were a tad unlucky to go wicketless in their first spells. Lister was off-colour early on but his slower ones accounted for the key wickets of Mendis and de Silva. Sodhi offered great control. Ravindra and Neesham were taken on. For Sri Lanka, Perera, de Silva and Shanaka got starts but the middle-order bats couldn't build on them.
