9.30pm Well, that will be all the action from today. We saw some great cricket today. A cracking century from Alex Hales, a fine fifty from Colin Munro. Then a brilliant display with the new ball from Sheldon Cottrell especially and Gus Atkinson as well, before Wanindu Hasaranga wowed us with his fielding and his bowling. Andre Russell gave ADKR fans something to cheer about with a quickfire half-century so typical of him, but it was too little, too late as the Vipers continued their perfect start to the tournament. Tomorrow, there is a double-header. Dubai Capitals are taking on Sharjah Warriors in Dubai and then Abu Dhabi Knight Riders will be back in action here at the same venue, against MI Emirates. This is Abhimanyu, signing off on behalf of Ashish Pant and Thilak Rama.
9.20pm Time for the presentation ceremony.
Alex Hales is of course the Player of the Match: "Incredibly special feeling. We've played some good cricket and to get the first hundred of a new tournament is a good feeling. It's been a really enjoyable few years on the cricket field. I just feel that I'm a little more experience and focusing on just one format in the last few years has helped. [On hitting down the ground more] It's been very valuable. I thought in my early 20s I was guilty of hanging back and looking to pull and cut the ball. But you have to keep working and evolving."
Colin Munro: "Alex Hales is in brilliant form and he set the game up for us and Sheldon Cottrell has been brilliant with the new ball. Yeah Kumara was good with the new ball and I was thinking if I would get through it and yeah I got some lucky shots away but yeah once I settled in… Just need to keep pushing the guys to keep getting better. Got a great squad and great people around us so just looking forward to the next couple of games."
Sunil Narine: "[On captaincy] When you lose it's tough and trying to get the right combination is tough when it's not happening. I think if you win the combination looks good. We haven't been bowling well, struggling with the batting. [On him not bowling earlier] Just team setup and team combination, you never know what can happen. Hopefully we can get that combination, get early wickets and get that performance soon.
9.12pm What a comprehensive win for Desert Vipers. They were on top all throughout, after Andre Russell got Rohan Mustafa out in the first over. Alex Hales slammed a majestic century -- the first of the tournament -- and skipper Colin Munro hit a half-century as they posted 219 -- the biggest total of the tournament. For Abu Dhabi Knight Riders, nothing went right except Russell's 29-ball 57. Him being in form is the only positive takeaway from them and while they managed to get past the lowest score in the tournament, they have suffered the biggest defeat, in terms of runs, in the tournament. It's a 111-run win for the Vipers, that takes them up to the top of the table with three wins in three matches. ADKR remain firmly at the bottom, with no win in four games.
