4:04pm An excellent comeback by the Knight Riders to restrict the Vipers to 164. At one stage, when the Vipers were 126-3 after 13.5 overs, it felt they would get up to 180 comfortably. Two wickets in two balls - that of Hose and Hasaranga - dented their charge, and they just could not recover thereafter. There were cameos by de Leede and Mustafa, ensuring there was no major collapse, but those knocks could only take the Vipers up to 164.

Narine, as he usually is, was the star of the bowling show, picking up two wickets and giving away only 23 runs. Ali Khan was good at the death too, scalping three wickets. Russell went wicketless but went at run-a-ball, meaning that the Knight Riders have the perfect chance to get their campaign off to a winning start. Join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Adam Hose: Felt it was a pretty nice pitch. Maybe a little tricky against spin. Pace-on was nice and easy. On the whole, a fairly decent pitch. Some late runs to get us to a very defendable total. (On his dismissal) I was really frustrated to get out at that point. To lose two quick wickets after myself took the momentum away. (On if the score is enough) You never know. It probably is par or maybe just under-par. But with our bowling attack, if we start well, we have a chance. The ball seems to be swinging more here so it is about making the most of that.
