Scorer: Binoy George | Commentator: Shashwat Kumar

9:18pm Right. That will be a wrap from us for tonight. Tomorrow, the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders take on the Dubai Capitals at Abu Dhabi, with the Capitals looking to keep their qualification hopes alive. Until next time, this is me (Shashwat) signing off on behalf of Binoy George and everyone at ESPNcricinfo. Goodbye, goodnight and take care!

9:15pm Well, that was one-way traffic and even that might seem an understatement. The Vipers just did not turn up and were trampled by MI Emirates. Funnily enough, it was the Vipers that won that toss and inserted MI Emirates into bat - perhaps the only thing that went their way tonight. With the bat, they lost too many wickets in the powerplay, making an already arduous task much tougher.

This result will have massive implications moving forward. Apart from the NRR ramifications, this could have an adverse effect on the Vipers' confidence. But that is something they will probably worry about tomorrow. Tonight at Sharjah, they were thoroughly outplayed by MI Emirates, and that is what the overriding theme should be.

Imran Tahir to Watt, OUT, that will be that! Fired into the track on middle and leg stump. Watt skips down the track and looks to go inside out. He gets too close to the ball, though, and does not have enough room to work with either. In the end, he slices it straight to Boult at short extra cover
