7.48pm: Time for the presentations. Lauren Filer is Player of the Series: "Been a whirlwind, great to finish off with a win. Using the hardness of the new ball, trying to bowl attacking lines. [Gaur] She's a great bowler, offers left arm and has a lot of skill. Nice to have someone at the other end who keeps the runs down. [Sciver-Brunt, Bouchier batting] It was a masterclass, outstanding. Shame for Bouch not to get to the mark but they both batted very well. Variations, women's game is developing. Bowling quick might not be enough soon. Maybe put on pace [too], and hopefully improve!"

SL captain Chamari Athapaththu: "Tough conditions, tough day at the office. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose, but we learned a lot of things. England are No. 1 or No. 2 in the world. We did well in the T20s but no in ODIs. [Improvements] Our batting, patience is important in this format. We have to adjust to these conditions and play fearless cricket. We have a few youngsters, the domestic set-up is good. I hope we can be a good team in future. They have to work on some areas but I hope they will become good cricketers in future. [Form] I love the pressure, I handle that and always play my fearless game. No secret, just play fearless cricket."

England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt is both the Player of the Match and the Metro Bank Player of the Summer: "[100th ODI] Usually the commemorative cap games weren't so good for the player so very happy to bat how I did and carry it on from Australia. [Prep] When we play so much cricket during the summer, we don't need to train too many things. Stay right in mind and body, rest a little bit during T20Is and stay switched on for the ODIs. [Bowling] Plan is to be back for the India series in December. Wanted to give the body a rest post-Ashes but looking forward to picking up a ball again. Want to influence every part of the game, that's the best part of being an allrounder. [Filer and Gaur] It's brilliant, to come in and make such an impact is special. Filer's pace was the most exciting thing, give her a rest and then hopefully be good to go again in December. Maia took her opportunity, showed why she's been picked and Bess [Heath] came in and player her shots. That's all we can ask."

7.40pm: So England have mopped up on a damp night in Leicester, winning by 161 runs to claim the ODI series 2-0. Nat Sciver-Brunt, standing in as captain in her 100th ODI, hit all the right notes - a national record 66-ball hundred, which alongside Maia Bouchier's 95 took England to an unassailable total, and then marshalling her bowlers adroitly to dismantle Sri Lanka, Charlie Dean claiming a maiden five-for in the format. Still, SL will leave these shores with the T20I series trophy, and having shown encouraging signs despite being brought back down to earth in the ODIs
