That's it from us today. Over to the final on Thursday when South Africa meet India before the T20 World Cup madness begins. Thank you all for following our coverage and do come back for the title clash. This is Srinidhi, signing off on behalf of Sudeep, our scorer, and Sudarshanan, my co-commentator. Cheers and take care.
Deepti: Actually, they have faith in me, the captain and the management. I just bowl according to the conditions. I practised before the games, to bowl in all phases of the game and they are supporting me. I really don't feel pressure. I enjoy wherever I get an opportunity, to bat or bowl."
Kaur : "We bowled well, still we could have done better than this. A target less than 100 was okay but I was looking at less than 80. Going forward, we have to work on things that didn't work today, batting was good. Great positive to have too many options [when Shafali and Ghosh come back] and find out the best XI. Next game is an opportunity for us to try our best XI, whoever is getting the chance, they are performing well. Really happy that Jemi [Rodrigues] got some runs today. And It's always good when you are getting runs and I'm happy about my performance."
Matthews: "Had a couple of Under-19 girls here, that was good. A lot of positives from the game still. We need some time to recover from injuries and hopefully come back better to the World Cup. Look, cricket is a sport where anything can happen. We just have to take the positives."
5.40pm: A complete dominance here by India. After Deepti Sharma's three-for and Pooja Vastrakar's two wicket-haul restricted WI to 94 for 6, Jemimah Rodrigues and Harmanpreet Kaur hit 42* and 32* respectively, and put on an unbeaten stand of 54 runs for the fourth wicket to take India home comfortably with 37 balls remaining. And that means India are still undefeated in the tri-series so far.
On the other hand, West Indies will have plenty to ponder ahead of the T20 World Cup that is starting on February 10. They are yet to win a T20I game since September 2022. A big concern for them is still their batting, in particular their opening pair, as they look to find a suitable partner for Hayley Matthews.
