4.36pm Well, that was an innings of two halves. An 80-run opening stand ended on the stroke of the halfway mark, and though Duckett and Buttler kept England clattering along towards what could have been a 200-run total, their dismissals to consecutive deliveries was the cue for a magnificent comeback from Bangladesh's bowlers. Moeen and Curran, fine death hitters, struggled to line up a diet of slower balls and into-the-pitch offerings, and that's a very attainable target for the hosts... but they'll need to fare better in the Powerplay than they did in the ODIs. Alan will be here shortly.

EssexEvangelist: "I reckon it you'd have offered England 160 on this deck they'd have taken it. Big powerplay coming up as you say."

Moey: "150 score in this pitch is more than enough!"

Taskin Ahmed to Ali, 2 runs, so nearly stunning on the ropes! Moeen climbs into his swing for the hills, over wide long-on, Shanto - so busy in the deep all innings - reaches back at long-on, over the rope as he does so, and clings on well as he topples out of play. He releases the ball in good time, but his relay shy gives his team-mate Talukdar just too much to do... he leaps forward to gather, but can't quite close the fingers round the chance!

2
Taskin Ahmed to Ali, 2 runs, waits on the back foot, and launches his swing out through square leg. Not timed to perfection but placed well enough to require a tumbling stop on the boundary
19.4
1
Taskin Ahmed to Jordan, 1 run, back to the slower ball, clawed to the leg side to give Moeen the strike for two more balls... he's only faced five!
19.3
4
Taskin Ahmed to Jordan, FOUR, A rare boundary, advances to the full length and scuffed down through deep third. Important runs for England

Sanyat T: "What a comeback from the bowlers! Such performance against the world champions should definitely raise the confidence in the team. Excited to see if it transpires in the batters. " On this evidence, it will be a very important Powerplay. Get ahead of the rate and Bangladesh will be very confident

Taskin Ahmed to Jordan, no run, short again, a touch more heat on that one, as Jordan swings across the wide line and can't make contact
19.1
W
Taskin Ahmed to Woakes, OUT, slower ball, Woakes is castled! That's outstanding from Taskin, another back-of-the-hander, into the pitch, tempting Woakes into the wipe across the line, but beating him for lack of pace. Back goes leg stump and now England are in danger of falling 50 run short of their ambitions

Hasan Mahmud to Woakes, 1 run, fires in the yorker, Woakes works the single to midwicket. An excellent spell from Hasan. Both he and Shakib going at 6.5

Ayan: "Is the pitch slow ? No one except Buttler could play their part today. " The older ball does seem to be staying lower, yes

18.5
W
Hasan Mahmud to Curran, OUT, toe-ended to long-on! Curran's scratchy knock comes to an end, swinging lustily through the back-of-the-hander, but failing to pick up the pace in time. Shanto is the man inside the rope once more, and England's innings is officially flat-lining

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, no run, well bowled again, theoretically in the slot, but enough action on the ball to swing past Curran's huge wind-up
18.3
1
Hasan Mahmud to Ali, 1 run, Moeen gives up on the run-out! Slapped into the covers, no timing, Shakib goes for the direct hit, the ball goes wide, Moeen survives!

Daniel: "For all that SCurran is struggling here, who else could England pick at 6 that isn't (a) injured (b) at the PSL or (c) taking a break after the Test series?" Well quite. And it's not as if these two lack any reputation for lumping it at the death. This is just excellent bowling

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, 1 run, clawed to the on-side

1
Hasan Mahmud to Ali, 1 run, flogged off the full length, into the covers, Curran is sent back but the shy goes wide and they get the overthrow anyway

Mustafizur Rahman to Curran, 2 runs, bottom-handed bash to long-on, good intercept on the dive at long-on, and relayed back to the bowler. England have been tamed in these past two overs

Adam: "England need to keep swinging! All of their batters can throw the bat!"

Mustafizur Rahman to Ali, 1 run, short, slow, cramped as the ball pops into Moeen's pull, slightly spliced behind square but safe
17.4

Mustafizur Rahman to Ali, no run, slower ball, wide of off stump, Moeen's eyes light up but that's an under-edge on the slog to the leg-side, past the stumps but mopped up by the keeper

1
Mustafizur Rahman to Curran, 1 run, back of a length, keeping it out of Curran's arc, on the angle into his body, tapped from under the ribs to mid-on
17.2
1
Mustafizur Rahman to Ali, 1 run, guided off the fuller length, out to deep point

Daniel: "What a dreadful last two overs for England. Lack of batters argument now officially a valid point made." Lots of bowlers to defend this total though...

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, 1 run, slower ball, wider line, Curran eases a drive into the covers. Well, that has changed the complexion

Sammo: "I'm with Paul, but it's clear which side of Miller's bread is buttlered on..." Well. I just happen to think the current England Test approach would play to the strengths of their greatest white-ball batter. It might well not happen for all the obvious reasons

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, no run, very full once more, and chipped back down the pitch. The bowler gathers in his followthrough
16.4

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, no run, angled baton the full length, pressed into the covers. This is turning into a fine little spell for Bangladesh. England were looking odds-on for 200 until the wickets
16.3

Hasan Mahmud to Curran, no run, right up to the toes, clipped back to the bowler, who deflects onto the non-striker's stumps. Moeen is unfussed, although the third umpire is taking a look. Yep, he was alert and turned for home in good time
