9:12pm So, the Orcas manage to get up to 183, which seemed a fair distance away after the powerplay, where they only scored 31 and lost one wicket. The middle overs, however, was where they picked things up, mustering 91 runs in between overs 7 to 15. Things threatened to slip away post de Kock's dismissal but Pretorius popped up with a 7-ball 21 to power them to a total in excess of 180.

MINY, to put things bluntly, looked out of sorts at times. Wiese was leaking runs, yet, he bowled four overs, eventually giving away 63. Pooran opted to bowl Kenjige just one over, despite Jessy and Wiese not quite being at the races and that could yet come back to haunt them. 184 is not completely beyond this MINY but they will feel they could have kept the Orcas down to a lesser score. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Rashid Khan: (Plan coming into this game) Very clear mind. Just wanted to go there and hit the right areas consistently. If you hit the right areas on this wicket, you get the rewards. That was the plan. (On battle against Klaasen) The other day, when I was bowling to him, he was playing amazing shots. Plan was very simple - bowl the right area and if he hits you from there, nothing you can do. Bowl it there and see if he can do it again.

Wiese to Harmeet Singh, 2 runs, OUT, high full toss outside off that would have been a wide had Harmeet left it. He reaches out for it and punches it towards deep cover. The bowler cannot collect cleanly and that prompts the Orcas to attempt the third. The backing-up is good enough, though, and Parnell is run out at the batter's end!

WD Parnell run out 2 (1b 0x4 0x6) SR: 200.00

Harmeet to face the final ball, provided there are no wides and No balls, which considering the kind of day Wiese has had, is not entirely out of the equation...

Wiese to Pretorius, OUT, Wiese gets Pretorius, finally! Slower delivery dug into the track outside off. Pretorius tries to muscle it over long but just does not have pace to work with. Lobs it miles up into the air and when the ball comes down, David is there to catch it at long on!

D Pretorius c David b Wiese 21 (7b 3x4 1x6) SR: 300.00

Pretorius is 21 off 6 now. Wiese has now conceded seven boundaries (fours and sixes) in his last ten balls...

Wiese to Pretorius, SIX, clean as a whistle! Tries to fire it into the blockhole but this ends up being a half-volley outside off. Pretorius winds up and thumps it over long off!

2
Wiese to Pretorius, 2 runs, safe! Length outside off. Pretorius is too early into his stroke and skies it. The ball goes miles up into the air but lands in front of Kenjige, running in from deep backward square leg

We have another mid-over conference - this time, involving Wiese, Boult and David. Not sure how much that will help if Wiese keeps bowling full tosses, though

Wiese to Pretorius, FOUR, another low full toss at the stumps and another boundary! Pretorius has a swipe at it and drags it between deep backward square leg and deep mid wicket

Wiese to Pretorius, FOUR, and he gets greeted with a boundary first ball! Attempted yorker that ends up being a low full toss on off stump. Pretorius gets under it and bangs it over the bowler's head

Boult to Tye, OUT, Tye bites the dust! Knuckle-ball on a length just outside off. Tye tries to be funky and looks for the scoop. He has no pace to work with, though, and the ball spoons up off his bat straight to Jessy at short fine leg. The Orcas are falling apart like a pack of cards now!

Boult to Ranjane, OUT, one brings two! Off-pace on a back of a length outside off. Ranjane tries to smash the cover off the ball and loses his shape completely. He is early into the stroke too and that means he slices it tamely to backward point. Kenjige judges it well and gobbles up the chance!

SS Ranjane c Kenjige b Boult 29 (16b 5x4 0x6) SR: 181.25

Boult to de Kock, OUT, knocks him over! And it is that man Trent Boult again! Off-pace on a length on middle and off. de Kock looks to tonk it into tomorrow but does not pick the variation. Swings too early and the ball crashes into middle stump, leaving it flattened! What an innings this has been from de Kock, though - it has set the Orcas up beautifully!
