11:30pm That will be all from us for this game. Hope you enjoyed our coverage and we hope to have your company soon for more MLC action. Until then, this is a goodbye from all of us!

Corey Anderson, the San Francisco Unicorns captain is also the Player of the Match: (On his knock) Pretty happy. Was in the bush a little with the runs. We were in trouble early. Good thing is we bat deep. Hassan Khan had an unbelievable day. We fought as much as we could (to get to that total). You still have to pick up the aggressive options when you can and get to a total you think can be defendable. If you block it and get to a smallish total, there's not much sense in it. We were definitely under-par and I just told our guys to fight. Shows the character of the side when you can fight it out like that, and holds well in the rest of the competition.

Kieron Pollard, MI New York captain: (On where they lost the game) I believe in the middle period, in a 15-ball period, we did not get run-a-ball and that brought them back. (On what total they would have liked to restrict SF to) 120 - something around there. We wanted to put the foot on the throat but it did not happen. Today was sort of how this season has gone for us: giving ourselves a chance but not getting it done. In the entire tournament, it (batting) has not worked well for us. We have not been able to fight well and put up big totals. Rash (Rashid) finished off a couple of games but overall, from a batting perspective, we have not done great, and I personally, like today, I had a job to do, but I could not do it. There is another (game) to go, so have to finish well. Pride, reputation and passion (is something we play for) and let's see how it goes.

Matthew Short: Huge win. They are a quality side. every time you come up against them, there is quality throughout. Strange game, lucky enough to scrape through. Our bowlers got us over the line. Credit to Corey Anderson and Hassan for that partnership (when we were batting). He is a freak player, we all know that. I got a little lucky, it flicked his front pad and then hit the bail. There was a longer boundary, so tried to use that to my advantage. Got lucky with a couple (of wickets). Our top order has been really strong bar today. Nice for a couple of guys in the middle order to stand up. Quality partnership from them.

11:13pm Wow. What a game of cricket. So many twists and turns. The Unicorns, a couple of hours ago, were 33-5. They then found a way to get to 148. MINY then had the chase in control, especially when Brevis was smashing it to all parts. But once he got dismissed, a slow-down ensued. Pooran could not get going, neither could Pollard, and it came down to Rashid and Richards.

The pair kept finding the fence to keep the defending champions in the hunt but the decisive blow was landed by the Unicorns' marquee player aka Pat Cummins. A five-run penultimate over left MINY with 20 to get in the last over, and while Richards did get stuck into Rauf, the Unicorns had just enough in the bank to see out the game, capping off a turnaround that began with the bat and ended in playoff qualification.

Haris Rauf to Richards, OUT, Rauf holds his nerve, and the San Francisco Unicorns are into the playoffs! Zipped in full, honing into off stump. Richards, who had been accessing the areas in front of the wicket so well throughout his innings, decides (rather ambitiously) to play the reverse lap. Seems very late on the stroke and gets nowhere close to a connection. Flicks the pad and then floats through to Inglis. Amidst all that drama, it seems like Marais Erasmus raised his finger too for the lbw appeal. But all that the Unicorns will be concerned with at the moment is two points!

Haris Rauf to Richards, SIX, and Richards gets the six he and MINY want! Oh my days, this is as clean a strike as any we have seen this MLC! Another slower ball outside off. This sits up nicely and Richards absolutely crunches it over deep mid wicket!

10 off 2. A six will be very handy here for MINY

Haris Rauf to Rashid Khan, 1 run, full on middle and off. Rashid has a wild slog across the line and slices it terribly. Lands well in front of long off. Just a single, though
