8:12pm It was a stop-start beginning, with all the rain, lightning and thunder around. Salt, though, was a constant before the interruption and after it, scoring a sumptuous 47-ball 77. He set the tone at the start, ensured the momentum did not drop through the middle and propelled the Capitals to 193. He was helped along the way, with Neesham and Parnell producing crucial cameos.
The hosts, meanwhile, would be ruing their inability to keep things quiet during the middle overs. They picked up three wickets in the powerplay but could not quite make that count. Their plans towards the end were also not up to scratch, meaning that they now have a mountain to climb. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
Phil Salt: I had to hold myself back with the wickets falling. We felt we were probably behind the game but then Jimmy and Parny came out and batted like that. It is a very good score. (On English players in SA20) It is good to have Jacks and Little. Lucky to be spending a month with them. The crowd is unbelievable. It took me by surprise a little when they were singing and chanting our names.
Baartman to bowl the final over

150 on the board already, and both Neesham and Salt look in good touch. Can they get up to 185-190? Baartman to bowl the 18th over
