7:14pm Wow, that innings ebbed and flowed. The Super Kings got off to a decent start (better than what they have been doing this season, at least), with du Plessis setting the tone early on. Hendricks, though, struggled for momentum throughout his innings, and that rid the Super Kings of some crucial momentum in the powerplay and in the middle overs. Fortunately for them, du Plooy was playing a special knock at the other end, finishing with a 40-ball 75 that included several drool-worthy strokes. In fact, du Plooy has single-handedly powered the Super Kings to a total that they can very easily defend.

As for the Capitals, they would be ruing the number of runs they conceded in the final few overs. They ended up shipping 106 runs in the final 10 overs and that could still come back to haunt them. But on a strip that has progressively gotten better for batting, and with Jacks and Salt firing on all cylinders, the Capitals will back themselves to get the job done tonight. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!

Leus du Plooy: It was a lot of fun, to be honest. Great to get to a good start with Faf and Reeza. To get an opportunity and to bat in front of our home crowd - what a feeling. The key was to just get used to the wicket. There was a little bit of a uppish bounce. Once you got used to it, you get good value here. (On the score) I think we did pretty well to get there. There was a stage where we could have gotten a bit more runs. I would have liked 175 but this is a competitive total. I back our bowlers.

Bosch to Verreynne, 2 runs, full delivery slanted into the batter's pads. Verreynne backs away and drives it towards long off. du Plooy calls his partner through for the second and makes it, courtesy of a lunge at the bowler's end

4
Bosch to Verreynne, FOUR, dug into the track on middle and leg stump. Verreynne gives himself a bit of room and flays it over backward point for a boundary!

Bosch is now on a hat-trick. This crazy innings has just gotten crazier. Verreynne to face the hat-trick ball

Bosch to Coetzee, OUT, oh my goodness! What a catch that is! Low full toss on off stump. Coetzee sits back in his crease and whips it towards deep mid wicket. Jacks runs around nonchalantly on the fence, flings out his right palm and plucks it out of thin air! He then tiptoes around the fence to ensure he does not step on the ropes too! Simply stunning!

Bosch to Makhanya, OUT, length delivery angled into the batter on leg stump. Makhanya looks to go inside out but again, gets too much underneath the ball. He spoons it towards extra cover, where Parnell does the rest! du Plooy is still off strike!

Bosch to Shepherd, OUT, slower delivery on a length on leg stump. Shepherd has a massive mow across the line but is too early into the stroke. He gets plenty of height but not enough distance as Bosch runs back and completes the catch!

160 is well within reach now. Can the Super Kings push close to 170? The way du Plooy is going, you would back them to do so! Bosch to bowl the final over
