4:15pm A good fightback by the Rockets towards the end but this innings belonged to the Southern Brave. Mandhana and Wyatt set the tone at the top - the former registering a half-century. Bouchier then arrived on the scene and sparkled her way to 31 off 18. At one point, when Bouchier and Mandhana were at the crease, the Brave were harbouring hopes of a total in excess of 160. They did not quite get there but they will be very happy with what they have on the board.

As for the Rockets, they failed to establish a foothold early in the contest. The first few sets were characterised by numerous wides and that allowed the visitors to race out of the traps. The spinners, led by Gordon, did pull things back a touch but they were playing catch-up by then. The Rockets have the firepower to hunt this down, meaning that this could be a very interesting run-chase. Do join us in a bit for the second innings!
