Allan Donald, Bangladesh bowling coach: better performance today. We had a good chat yesterday about our powerplay approach especially. The two seamers did well today. The bounce was inconsistent on game 1, today it carried better. We felt we undersold ourselves by not being aggressive or going short. We got the conservative thought process out the way. Very clinical part one, need a clinical part two.
Khalid: "To defend this low total, AFG needs 3 Rashids but they have none today"
5:21pm: Taskin leads the team back as Shoriful is out with cramps. Both of them were brilliant with the new ball, Shoriful was hostile and reaped rewards. Their bouncers raised questions that were too tough for Afghanistan's top order to answer. Four wickets, including the openers who tonned up in the last game and Mohammad Nabi, fell in the first ten overs as a result. It was a constant struggle and catch up from the visitors thereon. Shakib bowled his joint-second-most economical ten-over spell of his career to ensure no batter got going. A few batters gave away their wickets in the middle overs which was also a concern Afghanistan, most notably the skipper who was starting to get set before being bowled attempting a reverse sweep while on 22. Taijul and Mehidy were on the mark too. As Allan Donald said, it was a clinical performance.
