11.25pm That is that. Brandon King's maiden ODI century has put WI 1-0 up. Daren Sammy has a winning start to his international coaching career. Keemo Paul, Dominic Drakes and Odean Smith also played their part in West Indies' emphatic victory. Thanks for tuning in. Until next time, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Srinidhi, P Ranjith and Thilak Ram. Goodbye and cheers.
Waseem, UAE captain: He [Paul] bowled well. Ali played well, but we were short by 50-60 runs. Aayan bowled well, but King played very well for West Indies. We will take some positives from this match and hopefully do well in other matches.
Hope, WI captain: There was no hurry. They all bowled well, I can't single out too many, and I was happy with the execution. Nice to see Hodge play in West Indies colours now and hopefully we can continue. I don't think there were devils in the surface but credit needs to be given to the bowlers. King is an exceptional player and someone who I thought would've scored a lot more runs early in his career. But happy for him. He saw the opportunity to take the game forward and happy to see him get his first hundred today.
King is suffering from cramps, so Hope collects King's Player-of-the-Match award on his behalf.
