7:33pm New Zealand have navigated their way to 155, which on this surface, seems a pretty good score. The ball is holding up and apart from Seifert, none of the other batters timed the ball as well as they would have liked. The Kiwis, thus, would be pleased with how their middle order produced useful cameos, taking them up to 155.
As for the UAE, the powerplay did not quite go to plan. Their spinners, though, applied the squeeze in the middle overs, with both Hameed and Faraazuddin among the wickets. Towards the end, they could not defend the large boundary dimensions, meaning that they gave up a lot of twos and allowed NZ to get past 150, despite them not finding the fence with any sort of regularity.
Unless the pitch improves dramatically under lights, the hosts seem to have their tasks cut out. Join is in a bit for the run-chase.
Basil Hameed: It has been a wonderful job done by the boys, considering the start they had. If the batters take ownership, we can get over the line. (On his first over) The idea was to bowl back of a length at the stumps. Give nothing and not allow them to free their arms. (On the score) The second innings, the wicket should get better. The openers need to see off the first two overs but definitely a chaseable total. My main role is as a batter so I am hoping to win the game for my team.
Naseer to bowl the last over. How many can NZ get?

Andrew K.: "Stuck in Australia where it seems nobody is broadcasting this match. This scoreline is a bit worrying for a Kiwi like me! Is NZ playing badly or is this a difficult pitch?" -- Stroke-making has been tough on this surface and no batter, apart from Seifert, has been able to get going
Zahoor to bowl the penultimate over

NZ have not gotten many boundaries away in the last few overs but their running has been top-notch. UAE's fielding, meanwhile, has left a bit to be desired
