12:20pm Oman have stuttered and stumbled their way to 221, which might not be much but they now have something to bowl at. That score was largely possible due to their middle-order standing up. Shoaib and Suraj registered half-centuries and kept Oman afloat, even as the West Indies kept chipping away. 76 runs came off the last ten overs and that, considering how the rest of their innings went, is a decent tally.

As for the West Indies, they would be pleased with how they bowled throughout. Mayers set the tone at the top alongside Shepherd. Their spinners then applied the squeeze, with each of their tweakers bowling ten overs, also allowing them to stay well ahead of the over-rate. On most days, they will back themselves to hunt down 222. But crazier things have happened (this tournament and to the West Indies) already. Danyal will be back at the start of the run-chase in about 20-25 minutes.

Kevin Sinclair: (On the performance) There has been positive energy in the practice sessions and really good to put in this performance. (On his celebration being called the Sinclair summersault) I am happy with that name. My thing is to bring energy to my team and I think I did that today. (On what the batters must do in the second innings) Just build partnerships, rotate strike and put away the bad balls.

Mayers to Suraj Kumar, FOUR, four to finish off! Juicy full toss outside off stump and Suraj makes the most of it. Gets his hands through the ball and cracks it past extra cover. Gets to his fifty too in the process!

Mayers to Suraj Kumar, no run, slower delivery on a length on leg stump. Suraj does not make contact with it as the ball trickles off the pads towards the keeper

Mayers to Suraj Kumar, 2 runs, dug into the track outside off stump. Suraj gets up on his toes and short-arm jabs it towards deep square leg. They put pressure on Carty and scamper back for the second

Mayers to Bilal Khan, 1 leg bye, another appeal, although Bilal might have gotten some bat on this. West Indies review anyway! Full and slanted into middle and leg stump. Bilal has a swing across the line and seems to get a scratch on it before the ball hits the back pad. If Bilal has not hit this, this could be close. Nothing on UltraEdge but Ball Tracking shows that the ball would have just gone past leg stump!

Bilal is the last batter in. Mayers goes around the wicket

Mayers to Jay Odedra, OUT, appeal, not given! Darted into the pads on leg stump. Odedra plays all over it as the ball pins him on the pads and trickles down to fine leg. Mayers and Hope are convinced, though, and end up reviewing! This could be close, with the only question being whether this was going down leg. No bat involved and the ball has, in fact, pinned him on the back leg. Three reds on Ball Tracking and Odedra has to go!

Mayers to Jay Odedra, 1 wide, dug into the track on leg stump. Odedra continues swinging like a rusty gate and misses. This, too, has been called a wide, though. So the scoreboard is at least ticking...

Mayers to Jay Odedra, no run, high full toss well outside off stump. Odedra swings and misses and the umpire reckons it is a fair delivery. Surely that was above the waist?

Mayers to Jay Odedra, 1 wide, bumper on middle and leg stump. Odedra swipes and misses as the ball balloons over his head. Called a wide for height

Mayers to bowl the final over. Can Oman get up to 220?
