The members of the Scotland team gather in a huddle while the openers energetically swing their arms.

Thank you, Hemant. McMullen's spellbinding century in this crucial contest was truly mesmerizing, and the captain Richie Berrington support was instrumental as they forged a century partnership. With a World Cup spot up for grabs, the second innings promises to produce a fascinating contest. Considering the sluggish nature of the pitch, where the ball isn't coming nicely onto the bat, I believe they have managed to post a competitive total. Sole's opening burst will undoubtedly play a pivotal role in determining the outcome.

white coal: "Hello @Rvel, I have been eager to know what's your opinion on players from associate nations that represented their country representing the other country? is it good for the development of cricket in those nations? There are likes of Eoin Morgan, Tim David, Dirk Nannes and the list goes on" If Associates receive increased opportunities and the World Cup includes a greater number of teams, they might not be inclined to play for Full Members. However, as long as the system remains unchanged, it is logical for top-flight cricketers to compete at the highest level against the best in the business and more frequently as well. The likes of Eoin Morgan, and Tim David must have inspired many aspiring cricketers and popularized cricket in Ireland and Singapore respectively

Kisa Zahra : "Even though Scotland is favourite to win right now, the passion and dedication of Netherlands can beat anything on the given day"

So here's the equation: Netherlands need to chase it down in 44 overs to qualify for the World Cup. Scotland needs only a win. But let me double-check that. Rvel will be back with the chase soon.

Brandon McMullen: It was a good day out for me. I just tried to put as much pressure back on the bowlers as possible. It was my lucky day, so I just cashed in. A lot of our batters play in the V, so I think playing straight was the key as the wicket was slow and low. I didn't feel I had nicked it but there was a spike."

12.35pm At one stage, Scotland were eyeing 300 but Netherlands pulled things back in the last ten overs or so to restrict them to 277 for 9. Bas de Leede played a big part in that, finishing with figures of 5 for 52. Brandon McMullen was the hero for Scotland, scoring a royal hundred. Let's hear more from him.

Klein to Sharif, OUT, another slower one. A length ball outside off, Sharif almost swings himself off his feet, as he misses the ball. Edwards too fails to collect it cleanly, allowing the batters to attempt a bye, but he recovers quickly, and throws it with his left hand. The bowler was in front of the stumps but turns around to break the wicket to find Sharif short of his crease
