1.30pm Bangladesh couldn't get to the 300 mark, but half-centuries from Tanzid, Mehidy and Mahmadullah and a quickfire 48 from Jaker Ali have taken them to a total above the 280 that their skipper considered par. Alzarri Joseph got an early wicket, and so did Romario Shepherd but a 79-run stand between Tanzid and Mehidy built a solid base, upon which Jaker and Mahmadullah capitalised. Before that, though there was also a 54-run stand between Mehidy and Afif, after which Jaker became the early aggressor in the 96-run stand he shared with Mahmadullah. Mahmadullah, though, picked up the pace late on, doing especially well to read the slower cutters used by Alzarri and Shepherd at the death. Do West Indies have the firepower to chase this down against a Bangladesh pace attack that must be brimming with confidence? 294, incidentally, is the highest second-innings total at this ground, but that was in a huge defeat for South Africa against Australia in the 2007 World Cup. The highest target chased successfully here is 266, by West indies against Australia in 206. Join KK in around half an hour for the start of the chase.

Tanzid Hasan: "I think the wicket was good. After two wickets fell, me and Miraz bhai said we need a partnership from there. If we get a partnership from there, we'll get a good score. We just waited on the ball and built a good partnership. We were thinking that if we manage the first 10 overs, the wicket will get good and we'll get runs here. Personally I enjoyed the conditions. I think it's a very good total from our team and from Riyad bhai and Jaker Ali, it was a very good partnership."

Shepherd to Jaker Ali, OUT, Lower hand comes off the bat and he has miscued this slower ball to deep backward square! Jaker Ali misses out on what would have been a well-earned half-century, to add to his two fifties in the other two matches he's played on this tour. It's his ODI best though. This was another slower bouncer outside off and he was done in by the lack of pace, reaching for it by the end

Fuad: "After watching this partnership, I hope my fellow BD fans would understand why Mehidy hold the wickets till the end."

Shepherd to Mahmudullah, 1 leg bye, Mahmadullah doesn't read this short ball dug in outside off and is way early into the pull. Cops a blow on the helmet! Maybe hit him on the shoulder first. Anyway, he will be tested for concussion

Shepherd to Jaker Ali, 1 run, Dug in short, he miscues a pull off the top edge on the bounce to deep backward square

Shepherd to Mahmudullah, 1 run, Yorker just outside off, he eases it towards long-on and they get a single. Mahmadullah wants the second and Jaker is almost halfway down when they decide against it. A throw at the striker's end may have caused some chaos, but it's to the bowler instead. And Mahmadullah becomes a half-centurion today as well

Shepherd to Mahmudullah, SIX, Mahmadullah picks out this slower ball again. It's dug into the pitch and Mahmadullah comes out of the crease, waits and pulls it over deep midwicket. Great start to the over

Bangladesh need 15 to get to 300. Can they get there? They are already above the score their skipper wanted at the toss
