- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR15.6 peach! Draws Latham forward to defend after getting a ball to land around off. He looks to block it, but the ball straightens after pitching, goes past the outside edge, and kisses the outside half of the off stump! 59/23.2 that looks plumb, it is given, and Conway takes the review with one second to go. He is caught back to a full ball. It seams in appreciably, misses the inside edge and hits him on the back pad. Looks dead for all money. Conway takes a review with him 15/144.2 partnership broken! Full ball just outside off. Young gets forward to defend but gets too close to the ball. It pitches, spins away, takes the outside edge, and straight to first slip! 159/419.6 big breakthrough! The series' highest run-getter falls for 5. A repeat of the Latham dismissal. Full ball around off, from around the stumps, released from wide of the crease. Rachin gets forward to defend, but the ball turns away oh-so-slightly, goes past the batter's defense, and clips off stump again after beating the outside edge 72/365.1 that is a mental error from Mitchell. He sees a flat ball angling away, Mitchell opens the face, almost as if he has forgotten there is a slip in place. For Rohit it is like the catching drills before the start of the match. Regulation take 228/944.5 one brings two! Blundell has misread Jadeja. Fullish ball on middle and leg. Blundell offers no footwork while sticking the bat in front of his body on middle stump. Ball turns across him, across his bat, and knocks off stump back 159/552.6 Through. The. Gate. Jadeja strikes again. Quicker one. Fullish ball on off and sliding in with the arm. Phillips looks to defend off the front foot but he's playing for the turn when there is none. Ball cuts him in half and knocks his middle stump back 187/660.4 that is plumb. Jadeja has caught him back with a full ball, which turns from middle and leg and beats his bat. Also stays a touch low. Hits the back pad. Gone for all money. He won't even review this 210/760.6 that's Jadeja's five-for. Slows it down, 90ks, gets some dip, lands on leg, hits top of off. Too good for a No. 9. Five-for No. 14. Jadeja has been superb today. His second double-strike 210/865.4 no shot offered, and given out lbw right away! Fullish ball just outside off and angling into Ajaz from around the wicket. He decides to shoulder his arms thinking it will turn away, but it just slides in. He reviews, just because he has a review, and that won't save him. Crashing into the stumps and New Zealand are all out for 235 while Washington finishes with 4-81. 235/10Extras13 (b 1, lb 3, nb 9)TOTAL235 all out (65.4 Overs, RR: 3.57)Fall of wickets: 1-15 (Devon Conway, 3.2 ov), 2-59 (Tom Latham, 15.6 ov), 3-72 (Rachin Ravindra, 19.6 ov), 4-159 (Will Young, 44.2 ov), 5-159 (Tom Blundell, 44.5 ov), 6-187 (Glenn Phillips, 52.6 ov), 7-210 (Ish Sodhi, 60.4 ov), 8-210 (Matt Henry, 60.6 ov), 9-228 (Daryl Mitchell, 65.1 ov), 10-235 (Ajaz Patel, 65.4 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR17.2 reverse sweep... and failed! Patel darts this in, leg-stump line, flat as well. Jaiswal tries to play the reverse sweep, but he misses it altogether. Leg-stump rattled and he is pumped after that wicket! Jaiswal, on the other hand, is crestfallen 78/26.5 on this occasion, Rohit is gone! Back of a length ball just outside off. Rohit tries to stand tall and work a defensive shot to the leg side, but the ball shapes away slightly, takes a thick edge, and flies to second slip. He takes it from near his face, Latham, and Henry gets the breakthrough 25/153.2 gone for 90. Big wicket. Ajaz has been in good rhythm since lunch. Flighted on off, dips on him, Gill not to its pitch in defence, the ball turns away, takes the edge, and Mitchell takes a superb catch diving low to his right. A mature knock from Gill but the job wasn't competed yet 227/817.3 trapped lbw! Peach of a ball, full on leg. Turning past Siraj as he tries to defend from a middle-stump line. Hits his back leg in front of off stump, and he looks plumb. However, Siraj thinks height may be a factor. He reviews after consultation. Three reds. First-ball duck for the nightwatcher 78/318.3 direct hit! And Kohli is gone! Full on off. Toe-ends a drive to mid on and he takes off for a single. Kohli's call, and Henry picks it up and releases it in a flash from mid on. Guess what, the dive cannot save Kohli. Poor, poor thought process, this late in the evening. First the Siraj review and now an attempt at a quick single. Kohli closes his eyes, must be angry at himself for the call. Walks back disappointed. 84/437.3 follows the wrong'un with a legbreak that skids back in to strike the pad. Pant has been given out lbw by umpire Gough. Pant has a chat with Gill and calls for a review of the on-field out decision. Has he hit this or missing leg? Don't think he's hit it. Full and breaks back in to miss the inside edge and hit the pad. The tracker returns umpire's call on leg stump. Clips leg stump, enough for umpire's call to be upheld. Relief for Henry 180/546.5 and one of them will have to walk in now. Jadeja prods defensively, and Phillips finally has his reward. The perfect length, drawing him. forward without letting him smother the turn. It turns, and takes the edge to first slip 203/647.6 Ajaz's best spell in the series gets him Sarfaraz for a duck. This is spitting from a length, Sarafraz's forward-defensive is nowhere near the pitch of the ball, and it turns and bounces to kiss his glove on the way through to Blundell 204/757.6 Ajaz has five. Not much you can do with this as a No. 10. This is such an improved spell, the best he has bowled all series. Gets a fullish ball to drop on him, and then turn and bounce to take the shoulder of the bat for a catch at slip 247/959.4 on a length and outside off, dinked to square-ish deep third. India aim two but just one there. Deep turns around for the second - Washington sends him back - but by the time he undoes his steps and returns to the safety of the batting crease, he's caught short. Ravindra throws the ball to Blundell, who does the rest. - BATSMENRBM4s6sSR0.5 Deep gets his man this time! The Wankhede loves this. Keeps it full and gets it to nip back in off the seam to breach the defences of Latham. Bowled through the gate. Deep leaves the stumps splayed and celebrates with his team-mates 2/112.5 Washington got India to the lead, Washington has now got a wicket. Matter of time if you keep pushing in a forward-defensive. Thick edge as this turns sharply, and gully takes the catch. It's 11 for 2 effectively 39/238.6 Spooned back to Ashwin. He has a smile on his face and soaks it in. Another carrom ball from Ashwin, tossed up, drifts in at leg stump, and turns away towards off. Young checks his drive and offers up a return catch. End of another fighting effort from Young in extreme conditions 150/813.6 good news for New Zealand is that Ravindra will not get out to Washington. Bad news is he is out to Ashwin, who has taken his first wicket of the match. This one didn't even need the pitch. Ravindra charged at him, Ashwin got it to dip beautifully and alarmingly, Ravindra was niwhere near the ball, and Pant did the rest. New Zealand effectively 16 for 3 44/327.5 and Jadeja has the wicket from this end immediately. Superb catch by Ashwin. Mitchel charges at him, not close enough to the ball, the ball grips in the pitch, and he toe-ends a skier. Ashwin runs back from mid-off, turns sideways so that he is not taking it over his shoulder. Fine technique. The ball gets away from in the end, but Ashwin catches it with a dive 94/429.3 Jadeja has Blundell chopping on! 99.3ks slider from Jadeja, fuller in length from left-arm around. Blundell plays back to it. Jadeja rushes him. He jabs at it and ends up playing on. Jadeja wheels away in celebration 100/532.5 after being taken for two sixes earlier in the over, Ashwin comes back to knock GP over. Ashwin flicks out the carrom ball from wide on the crease. GP plays for the offbreak but this drifts in and goes the other way. Starts on middle and leg stumps and veers away viciously to crash into off stump. Ashwin is pumped. He's been having a great session 131/637.5 Caught by Kohli at short cover. Jadeja holds this one back and the line is outside off. Sodhi is a touch early into a drive and spoons it low to Kohli 148/743.3 Hits the top of off. An absolute peach from Jadeja. Drifts in at middle from left-arm around. Henry has to play at this, full and draws him into a forward defence, turns away to beat the outside edge and crash into off stump. Vintage Jadeja 171/945.5 That is that. Ten wickets in the Test for Jadeja. Tosses it up on a length around off and middle, Ajaz makes decent contact on the slog but hits it straight down Akash Deep's throat at deep midwicket. Easy catch, he does not miss and Jadeja walks back with the match ball in his hands, raising it happily to the crowd 174/10Extras17 (b 12, lb 4, nb 1)TOTAL174 all out (45.5 Overs, RR: 3.79)Fall of wickets: 1-2 (Tom Latham, 0.5 ov), 2-39 (Devon Conway, 12.5 ov), 3-44 (Rachin Ravindra, 13.6 ov), 4-94 (Daryl Mitchell, 27.5 ov), 5-100 (Tom Blundell, 29.3 ov), 6-131 (Glenn Phillips, 32.5 ov), 7-148 (Ish Sodhi, 37.5 ov), 8-150 (Will Young, 38.6 ov), 9-171 (Matt Henry, 43.3 ov), 10-174 (Ajaz Patel, 45.5 ov)

- BATSMENRBM4s6sSR6.5 New Zealand get another. Jaiswal reviews. This looks dead to me. Jaiswal plays for the turn, this one goes straight on, and is very close to the inside edge and the pad at the same time. Either way, he looks dead, because it has struck the pad right in front. If he is adjudged to have hit it, he will be caught bat-pad at slip. So the third umpire calls no bat. We go to ball-tracking. Hitting leg. He is gone, and with him goes one review 28/42.6 superb catch by Phillips running back from midwicket. He has pulled a ball that is not short enough. Not often you say that but he is late on the pull, and that is because he has pulled at one not short enough. The top edge is massive, Phillips is stumbling back to start with, but his strong legs and core regain balance soon and he completes a safe catch. First blood for New Zealand 13/13.6 left alone to be bowled top of off. He has not covered the stumps well enough when leaving this. This is a pitch where you can't trust the turn. This has pitched on the fourth stump, he is expecting it to turn away, but the ball goes straight on. Even if you leave such balls, you should get hit on the pad and not be bowled. Didn't cover the angle well at all 16/25.3 Patel is on a roll, and Mitchell is not dropping anything at slip. Superb bowling. Has him defending forward, without letting him reach the pitch of the ball. Gets the turn, takes the shoulder of the bat, and Mitchel gets his mitts under it diving forward 18/321.4 down the wicket, not close to its pitch, kicks it away, Ajaz wantts the bat-pad, Latham waits till the counter comes down to 6, and then reviews. Ajaz is convinced he has edged this before hitting the top of the pad, which lobs up for Blundell to take. New Zealand fielders are excited as there is a murmur on the UltraEde as the ball passes the bat, but the third umpire is alert enough to spot there is a possible gap between bat and pad, and that the sound signature has possibly come from the bat hitting the pad. But then, Paul Reiffel changes his mind, and asks Umpire Illingworth to change his decision. This is a huge moment in the Test. Pant is conviinced he has hit his pad and not the ball. A 10-for for Ajaz. He is dragging himself off the ground. There is also a possible deflection on the path of the ball that has made the umpire change his mind 106/77.1 sweeps a full toss straight to deep midwicket. It is not mandatory to sweep everything on a turning pitch. He missed out on a plum half-volley last over, and now he has swept a juicy full toss. Completely pre-meditated innings ends in two balls 29/515.6 This was waiting to happen - the bat-pad from Jadeja. Ajaz lands it on a length outside off, spins in sharply. Jadeja is on the back foot and looks to whip it away through the on side - a la Pant - but only manages to get an inside edge onto the pad. The ball lobs to the right of short leg, where Young dives and plucks a one-hander. The 42-run stand has been broken and Ajaz has four 71/629.1 It is all over! Six wickets for Ajaz and New Zealand create history. The slog sweep was coming, everybody knew, not least Ajaz. Tosses it up just outside off, gets it to spin in past Washington's attempted slog. Knocks off pole and kicks off celebrations as New Zealand win by 25 runs 121/1028.4 Ashwin given out caught behind but he reviews! Phillips tosses one up outside off, Ashwin goes for the reverse sweep. I think I heard a noise and so did Michael Gough, who raised the finger after a confident appeal. Ashwin thinks for a bit before taking the review. Ultra-Edge confirms that the umpire was right. India lose their eighth wicket and their second review. They are still 26 away 121/828.5 Two in two for Phillips and India are on the brink of a whitewash at home. The perfect offspinner's dismissal this - he tosses it up and lands it on a fullish length outside off. That drift away meant Akash Deep came forward to defend leaving a huge gap between bat and pad. It was enough for the ball to spin in sharply and rattle the stumps, and India.
