6:09pm Superb innings from Wellalage, which gives Sri Lanka a fighting total. At 101 for 5 around the halfway mark, it seemed they were on course for another batting collapse. But Wellalage showed his class thereon. Sri Lanka managed to score 65 for 2 in the last ten overs, with Dananjaya playing the perfect support act.
Dunith Wellalage: Wicket was turning a bit, so played my normal game. Since the track was slow, I tried to sweep the ball and rotated the strike. India have a good batting line-up but I think 230 is a good score. We have No. 1 bowler Wanindu Hasaranga and good fast bowlers. Wicket not easy to bat on, so we will try to get partnerships with the ball.
Wellalage feels Sri Lanka have enough. The track did not have demons but there is enough assistance for spinners, if they gave the ball enough air. How can Sri Lanka's bevy of spinners go on this track? Will India's famed batting line-up manage to take them over the line? Find out soon with Deiva.
