Innings break 2.22pm What a fightback from New Zealand. England finish with 305. They managed just 111 for the loss of seven wickets in the last 20 overs. It certainly appeared as if the surface slowed up with the amount of mistimed balls and the effectiveness of the slower balls. But having said that, batting looked a breeze early when Bairstow and Roy were flying. Bairstow made his second successive century in this World Cup.

Jonny Bairstow: "I'm really pleased obviously. There's been a couple of low scores in the competition as well. I felt like I needed to contribute with some runs. I'm disappointed not to go on with a big one but pleased to have got a hundred. You want to fire against the best teams in the world. We'll be looking to implement some of the things we saw in our bowling innings. We'll have to adjust like they did and hopefully implement our skills. It was a little slow I think. They obviously bowled a lot of cutters into the wicket, cross seam balls were standing up so hopefully we can take some early wickets and put some pressure on."

simonr: "SL WI got 338 and 315 last match at Durham so plenty of runs if you know where to find them. Going to be tight I reckon"

ashley: "think nz will be reasonably happy with the score they ended up chasing given that england were 190/1 by the 30th over. will be interesting to see how england's bowlers go on this pitch"

Ashish: "Any words on over rate. When was the innings supposed to end considering all breaks and root bleeding. Kane Williamson possibly to be unavailable for next match." We will update as soon as we know. He is on a warning.

Andrew Miller will be back shortly to take you through the start of New Zealand's chase.

Southee to Rashid, OUT, outstanding yorker cannons into leg stump! This was the perfect yorker. Tailing in late, he tried to give room but it sneaked under the bat and slammed into the base of leg. Not much Rashid could do
