Said nawaz: "It will be some chase. I go with England." I don't even know anymore. Maybe Vish will when he returns for the chase.

Yogibaba : "The way SA batting .. 500 run inning looks possible in this world cup."

Vivek : "Huge Psychological Edge to England as SA fail to cross 400 !!! "

Sumanth: "South Africa batting looking very dangerous. I think this is the best batting lineup they ever had" Five centuries in this World Cup so far

Reeza Hendricks: Quite pleased. Was tough at the start, had to find my feet. Happy once I got going and with the partnership with Rassie. Wasn't meant to ton up but happy overall. Belated inclusion was a bit rushed. Found out I was in literally five minutes before the toss. Everything happened quickly. Tried finding my feet in the first couple of overs. Needed an early partnership after losing Quinton upfront. Incredible innings from Klaasen. Was quite hot, we were under pressure after losing Aiden and Miller in quick succession. But Klaasen played an incredible innings. Think 400 is enough, back our bowlers to defend it.

Andrew Thomas : "Can anybody shed some light on why England are obsessed with fielding first when winning the toss and after a feeble bowling performance now have only a slim chance of progressing " Think they'd have to find their breaths before collecting their thoughts. Even when they do, I'm not sure they'll find answers.

6:05pm Isn't it great when things don't make sense and you don't have to try changing that?! 84 for 2 in the last five overs, 143 in the last ten. The scoring was video-game like but the gameplay was utterly human, with sweat bucketing down, lunges and deep breaths taken after almost every ball, hydration and cramps dancing in tandem. But Klaasen went through it all and came out stronger at the other end as did Jansen. England threw everything they could but all that did was give the duo an opportunity to lump it out the park. Presumably, one'd want to ask tactical and strategic questions regarding England bowling after winning the toss or having Wood bowl at pace at the death but existential stuff like... whaaa seem more appropriate somehow.

Afeef: "Jansen scored 40 runs in his last 10 balls!"

1
Atkinson to Maharaj, 1 run, Low full toss at the stumps is driven down the ground. Long-off cuts it off and keeps South Africa just one down 400.

W
Atkinson to Coetzee, OUT, Excellent sliding catch from Liam Livingstone, coming in from deep point. It was a full ball outside off that was blended by Coetzee. Livingstone went skiing on his right knee and kept himself in motion while having ball in hand

2
Atkinson to Coetzee, 2 runs, Goes across, back of lengther is on off. So Coetzee has to adjust by sliding back to drive it over the bowler. Stokes stops it running across in the deep

1
Atkinson to Jansen, 1 run, Yorker outside off, drills it to the leg side for another single

Klaasen's finally made it back to the dressing room and get a few pats on the back

1
Atkinson to Coetzee, 1 run, Wide yorker. Coetzee jams it off the inside edge to the other side behind the stumps. They take a run
49.1
W
Atkinson to Klaasen, OUT, Klaasen goes too far across and loses his leg bail. He gets a rousing reception as he walks back, applause all round. He soaks it in, raising the bat as he trudges back. Ball was a yorker on leg stump. Atkinson aimed there cos Klaasen showed all his stumps by going across. Klaasen got 174 against Australia not that long ago, this might be better in some ways.

H Klaasen b Atkinson 109 (119m 67b 12x4 4x6) SR: 162.68

Topley to Jansen, SIX, Crashed over midwicket. Massive six to raise the 150-run stand. 26 off the over, surprised it's not more. Was a full toss gone wrong. Probably over the waist if it was a different batter. Right in front of Jansen, he just drove it over
48.5
2
Topley to Jansen, 2 runs, Tough chance dropped by Curran, running in from deep midwicket. Was a low full toss that Jansen tried to whip, skied it off a leading edge.

David: "England are scrambled!" Rattled's the word, isn't it?
