5.19pm Hurricanes started well and finished well but in between a 107-run stand between Alex Ross and Jimmy Peirson ensured Heat managed 145 for 6. Earlier, Jofra Archer was in the thick of the things, sending Max Bryant back with a brilliant catch near the boundary before dismissing Lynn and Renshaw off successive balls to leave Heat on 27 for 4. Ross and Peirson then joined hands to stabilise the innings before upping the scoring rate, but just nine runs from the last two overs ensured there was no finish with a flourish.
