1.27 pm Lynn got the Heat off to the fiery start they needed with his 51 off 25 balls, putting them in with a chance of claiming the full points they need including the bonus point if they want to clinch a playoff berth. The middle order did an adequate but not superlative job building on Lynn's work. Stiff chase on the cards for the Scorchers, who have been far more comfortable and successful setting totals rather than chasing them, but the game is definitely not out of reach for them by any means and they still have something to play for aiming to secure first place in the league stage outright in order to play host to the final.
