7.30 pm So McDermott's valiant knock is undone by a brilliant piece of fielding from Andre Fletcher, his second superb boundary catch in this chase to swing momentum the Stars way and they hold on in the end. A lot of people have been calling for Fletcher to be dropped due to his woeful form with the bat but he contributed in a massive way to the victory with his fielding. Stoinis' 97 ends up being a match-winning knock. He made a crucial decision in the final over of the first innings to turn down a single second ball and he followed it with a hat-trick of fours. McDermott may show 91 next to his name on the scorecard but his incredibly slow start comes back to bite the Hurricanes in the end, just 27 off his first 29 balls before a surge that came too late for the home side to pull out a win.

Anyway, that's all from this match. Feel free to flip on over to the second game in the BBL doubleheader which is already well underway. Take care!
