Innings break Scorchers post an imposing 212 for 5. Bancroft has played an outstanding innings on that pitch. He posts his highest T20 score making 95 not out off just 50 balls. He used the pace and bounce and played the dimensions of the ground perfectly. And his running between the wickets was outstanding. Stephen Eskinazi played a superb innings at the top of the order making a blistering 54. The Renegades bowlers did it tough, particularly after David Moody was ruled out in the second over for two high full tosses. Renegades have a massive mountain to climb trying to chase that. Gnasher will be back for the start of the chase.
That's Bancroft's highest BBL score
Prestwidge to bowl the last

Scorchers get 28 off the Surge
Dan: "Perth once again displaying the mindless batting that cost them games already this season. You've got a guy in Bancroft up the other end absolutely braining it, push a single and get him on strike! Neither Turner and Hobson reading the game and needlessly throwing their wickets away" Harsh on Hobson. Batting in the surge with seven men up and the shot was on. Fair on Turner and you could throw Inglis' shot in there as well Dan.

Saif : "Gnasher, Do you agree with what Finch clarified about David Moody as a young talent. He is already 27yo and fast bowlers usually retire at around 35. Moody's fast class AVG above 30 (almost 35) and list a bowling avg is near 50. He managed to have only 8 T20 wickets at 25. Is this record good enough to make a selection at BBL?" He was a late replacement player for Renegades and has come in for this game as they only played one spinner and Kane Richardson is resting. But you raise an astute point Saif
