Sydney Sixers set 176 for Melbourne Renegades. Would that be enough? Steve Smith was exceptional tonight and played some sensational shots in his staggering half-century.

Adam Zampa was on top of his game and kept it tight, got two crucial wickets while Will Sutherland used all his bag of tricks, returning 2/21. Mujeeb Ur Rahman struggled early on but came back strongly later in the innings; he conceded 35 runs in his quota of overs but remained wicketless. Handy contributions from Moises Henriques and Jordan Silk have given them a respectable total.

The target won't be a cakewalk by any means but Renegades have the resources and the firepower to chase it down. Stay tuned for the start of the reply!

Richardson to Silk, 2 runs, Back of the hand slow ball thumped into the deck on a short length outside off and he slashes it away past point and runs hard to complete the second, makes it just in the nick of time

MikeB: "As a neutral overseas viewer, I have to say that I think that was a poor decision from the third umpire. No way the boundary rope moved in any way that could be considered conclusive." There was a lot of doubt for sure

W
Richardson to Edwards, OUT, Horrible mix-up in the middle! Lovely delivery on a short length, got discernible sideways movement in the channel and it went past the swinging blade, he aimlessly runs down the track, keeper pings a sharp throw to Richardson who calmly whips off the bails - exceptional, change-up delivery

J Edwards run out 14 (15m 10b 1x4 1x6) SR: 140.00

Manoj: "Like how X factor has been scrapped from BBL, we need to remove Impact player from IPL as well. We loose more all rounders because of that. "

6
Richardson to Silk, SIX, Slower one on a full length outside off, he smokes it right out of the middle of the bat and that's a stunning fielding effort from Jordan who plucked the ball out of thin air at deep cover and almost pulled off a sensational catch, but the momentum carried him towards the rope and he couldn't do the juggling act, third umpire is having a look. That would have been a stupendous catch had he held onto it. Just instinctively flicks his right hand out and the ball stuck in his hand but he tumbled and lost control and that has been signalled a 6; 10/10 for the effort though

Richardson to Silk, SIX, Clubs it over deep backward square for a flat six! Tries to bowl full and wide, he picks it from middle and times the pants off it, blazed it behind deep square, excellent shot, good presence of mind
