8:48pm Thunder lost 7 for 49 off the last 52 balls. Once Scorchers knew they could turn off the tap by taking pace off, they went all in. Agar had a dream outing, ripping it right from the start. Hales got Thunder off to a good start and was looking good with Tom Kohler-Cadmore for company. The two took the Surge right after the tenth and got a big over but Agar returned with a bang. Hales' running was an issue too as he was involved in three run outs. The batters failed to cope with the extravagant turn and bounce for the spinners as well as Tye bowling cutters - 12.2 exemplified it. Hardie, the skipper, was smart to employ Cooper Connolly, who bowled in the back end and finished with 3 for 25. Laurie Evans said this pitch was hard to read, so it's tough to say whether this is a good score. We'll find out in the chase coming soon. Stay tuned.

Connolly to McAndrew, OUT, No, that is not a replay. Ponting has to confer with co-comms to confirm. Looked like one though. McAndrew danced down and tried slashing, the ball fizzed over the bat and Inglis completes his second stumping in a row.

Was a length ball that landed around off and went away, Hales tried mashing it over long-off, good work by Inglis. A start-stop innings almost from Hales, who found it tough to cope with the pitch and the conditions. He was cooked a lot of the second half but manages to get well over half of the team score
