8:16 pm Strikers scored 11 runs to begin the first over. However, they began giving away their wickets after that. In a series of overs, Pope and Lynn were dismissed. Richardson miscalculated the ball's trajectory, giving Weatherald a life at fine leg, but he holed out at mid-off in the very next over. There, Tye put out one hand and grabbed a brilliant catch! As he remained at the crease, D'Arcy Short looked very good. He gave away his wicket by gloveing a wide ball back to the wicketkeeper down the leg-side. After taking two consecutive wickets, Jhye Richardson created a hat-trick opportunity but missed it. The Strikers were saved from danger by the 81-run stand between Doggett and Boyce on the ninth wicket. Boyce scored 29 runs off 22 balls, while Doggett scored 47 runs off 39 deliveries. As the Scorchers bowlers failed to deliver in tight line and lengths in the latter part of the innings, they turned the tide in favour of the Strikers. At the Adelaide Oval on New Year's Eve, the audience was enthralled with the duo's batting display. Morris and Behrendorff both took two wickets, while Richardson took three. After a brief break, join us for an exciting run chase in the packed stadium!

Hayes: "Crowd here showing their praise for Boyce and Doggett. Huge innings by them. Mexican Wave started and they pulled the energy from the crowd and went with it."
