Early in the innings, the Renegades lost their opening batsman, JFM. At the crease, Josh Brown has caused chaos. Despite being battered by Josh Brown, Lloyd Pope was able to get rid of Seifert with the final ball of his opening over. Ollie Pope's glove work behind the stumps was excellent as well. Although Bethell was in fine form, he gave up his wicket at mid-off after making a poor shot. None of the Renegades batters took control to quicken the innings after Josh Brown was dismissed. Brown smashed five boundaries and six huge sixes to score 66 runs off 41 balls. In the first Power Surge over, they lost Evans and Harvey. Sutherland made a few powerful hits through the on-side in an attempt to repair the damage. In the innings, just three batters reached double figures. During their bowling spell, Doggett, Thornton, Boyce, and Overton were economical. Pope and Overton bagged two wickets each, while Thornton took three. The Strikers will have a challenging run chase at this pitch. After a brief break, we'll return for the second innings.
