7.51pm An angelic first ten overs for RCB as they made 90 for no loss. But the devilish last ten has hurt them: 66 for 6 in the last ten, and it's only 157 for CSK to make. Knowing Sharjah's standards, that would not be good enough on most days. A partnership of 111 between Kohli (53) and Padikkal (70) set RCB up for a big total, but the Maxwell-AB-David-Harshal-Hasaranga quintet could make just 28 runs in 29 balls. Master tactician Dhoni used just five bowlers, using Shardul Thakur as the partnership breaker, Deepak Chahar as the skillful slower-ball bowler and DJ Bravo as the death-overs phenom. CSK favourites to move to No. 1 on the points table when we return from the break.

Devdutt Padikkal: "When ball was knew, it was coming on well. Even the fuller balls weren't bouncing much. Virat and I were just feeding off each other. We understand each other's games well. Our bowling unit needs to keep things simple. Good length balls are not easy to put away."

W
Bravo to Patel, OUT, fitting end to the innings as Bravo gets his third. Overpitched outside off. Looks to clatter a six over long off. Slices it, and Raina at cover takes another. RCB finish on 156 for 6

HV Patel c Raina b Bravo 3 (10m 5b 0x4 0x6) SR: 60.00

1
Bravo to PW Hasaranga, 1 run, full toss on off. Inside-out drive to cover. Just one for Wanindu
19.4
1
Bravo to Patel, 1 run, yorker attempted. Around leg stump. Drilled to long on for one. Not good enough for RCB

Bravo to Patel, no run, wide yorker, and lands inside the tramlines! Harshal looks to slice one behind square, but can't connect
19.2
W
Bravo to Maxwell, OUT, full on leg stump. Misses the yorker, and Maxwell looks to smack a six over cow corner. But he checks the shot instead of offering a full flourish. Taken by the outfielder rather comfortably

GJ Maxwell c Jadeja b Bravo 11 (15m 9b 0x4 1x6) SR: 122.22

Abir Utsha: "Those who were wondering, this is exactly why Dhoni is required as a mentor in the t20 wc. Top top tactician and resds the game so very well"

Bravo to Maxwell, no run, wide yorker, leaves Maxwell on his knees. Full and wide from around the stumps. Maxwell can't slice a cut behind square

Last over. Whatever RCB get from here on, CSK will definitely be the happier side in the break. From 90 for no loss after 10, 200 would've been the minimum target for RCB.

Chahar to Maxwell, 1 run, good length, outside off. Slapped to Raina at cover. Just four off the 19th.
18.5
1
Chahar to Patel, 1 run, drops safe this time. Length ball just outside off. Attempts the pull, and it's gone right up into the night sky. Should be caught out, but Chahar can't believe it. Gaikwad has not attacked the ball, and it has fallen well short of him. Did he not spot the ball early enough? Not confident to attack the ball?
18.4
1
Chahar to Maxwell, 1 run, knee high full toss around off stump. Muscles a shot down the ground, but just a single to long on

Tinnyhsh: "Wait
since when was Chahar a death bowler?" -- He rarely is. Dhoni took him off earlier in the innings when Kohli-Padikkal were set and feasting on his pace.

18.3
1
Chahar to Patel, 1 run, yorker length attempted. Ends up as a low full toss on leg stump. Drilled to long off for one

RCB have lost 4 for 39 in the last five overs. Maxwell couldn't cross over.

18.2
W
Chahar to David, OUT, simply sensational! Good length ball on off stump, but its the legcutter. Tries to chip an inside out loft over cover but slices the shot. Raina reverse cups his hands, and takes an easy one

Chahar to David, no run, run out? Not a direct-hit at the bowler's end so Maxwell survives. This was a length ball punched to point. But David was not interested in the run. Bravo is excellent with the direct-hits so best to not take his arm on

Deepak Chahar. Quite late in the innings for Chahar.

Bravo to Maxwell, SIX, top over ruined by the six! Only four runs in five balls but Maxwell was expecting the off-pace delivery. Stays deep in his crease as Bravo goes slow and full on off. Muscled over wide long on for six

Bravo to Maxwell, no run, tries to innovate. Ends up on all fours. Yorker length wide outside off. Tries to play a reverse paddle sweep past the keeper's right. Fail, on the bounce to the keeper
17.4
2
Bravo to Maxwell, 2 runs, yorker attempted. Ends up as a dipping, low full toss. Whipped from middle stump to deep midwicket's right. Top throw from Jadeja in the deep, but Maxwell's running gear was on full tilt. Comfortably done

Abdullah Babar: "This goes to show that even if two set batsman are cruising, just one wicket can trigger a massive slowdown. "

Bravo to David, 1 run, back of a length on leg stump. Still around the wicket. Pulled along the ground to deep midwicket. Can he come back for two? No

Tim David.

Bravo to Maxwell, 1 run, attempts the wide yorker. Goes full and wide. Slices a shot towards cover. Raina runs to his left to dive and take a one-handed catch, but just fails! Fielder in the deep gets behind it. Tough chance. Full commitment from the IPL legend

Bravo to Maxwell, no run, around the stumps. Length ball on middle, and angling towards off. Tries to cut, but too close to the body. Past the edge to MSD

Two batters. Both yet to face a ball. Only 28 runs conceded between overs 11-15.

Thakur to Padikkal, OUT, that's two in two! Back of a length on leg, so Padikkal goes low to ramp it over third man. However, it's a slower ball, the bounce doesn't rise as he expected, and has mistimed the shot. Doesn't go over Rayudu, who takes the catch inside the circle. Padikkal falls after a 50-ball innings at a strike-rate of 140.

Thakur to de Villiers, OUT, sliced and Shardul gets the big wicket. Length ball, wider outside off. de Villiers backed away to the leg side so that he could go inside out over cover. But it was wider than he expected, mistimes the shot, and Raina takes the skyer at cover
