Debayan will come in now to shephard you through the first ten.

Shravan: "Pollard cost MI 16 runs as other MI batsmen combined scored 164 in 116 balls at a strike rate of 143."

Sahad Parammal: "where are those guys who commented five for for Rashid " He was involved with five dismissals, but not just with the bowling. That's a lawyer's win. (Not sure if that's a thing)

Kapil Baldawa : "20 too many for GT I reckon. They have had their share of rub of the green in close games. MI to bowl out GT under 160" Bold prediction that.

A reticent Tim David who made 44* (21) says the team might be a bit short, but their attempt to line-up the bowling and maximize the scoring. He says it's his job to finish the innings, so he retained strike. He says hitting sixes feel good, and the focus is to get as many as possible. He says the wicket is good and batters have to go, after being asked if he read the slower ones.

9:20 pm: As Debayan observes, this was the score they got against DC in the second game this season which they could not defend. Can it be enough today? MI started well, Rohit seemed to get in to form. They took on Rashid in the powerplay, but he came back and removed the skip. Surya came in and tried to push things along with Ishan, who was going well. Both batters fell quickly. Pollard, who came in, could not get going, and that will be a major talking point. Tim David, with some help from Tilak Varma, pushed the score to 177, which even Tim feels is a few short. GT's bowling was aided by the batting, the quick bowlers tried the hard lengths and yorkers with some success. Rashid was taken down early but he came back well. Sangwan was brought in late which was a surprise, he did a decent job. The batters got Shami and Joseph away.

Ferguson to Sams, no run, GT review for an LBW. It was a good length ball pitching outside off, the leg-cutter came in but where is the impact? There is no bat, Sams attempted help over fine-leg missed, and the ball hit the pad. Impact is umpire's cann, so Sams survives

Ferguson to Tilak Varma, 1 no ball, OUT, Direct hit from mid-off, run-out check. The batter is about half a metre short and will have to leave. It was a full toss, just below the waist, and surprised Tilak who tried to hit through the line with a horizontal bat. Turns out it was over the waist, given no-ball late. Think the third ump had a word. The ball went in front of mid-off, who ran in and collected it, hit the stumps direct

Sagor : "Rashid's 3rd over was absolutely brilliant!! First 2 balls pitching outside spinning away, next 2 balls on middle and off, spinning in(googly). And then the 5th ball also pitched on middle and off but sharply and ever so slightly turned away to disturb the bails!! He's on a class of his own."

Even if he's back to form, he will obviously be the first choice next season but testing the bench strength this season would give enough confidence to these players."
