5:18pm Wow, what a knock by Vijay Shankar to take GT past the 200-run mark. He had his Tamil Nadu teammate Sai Sudharsan for company for large stretches and these two, alongside Gill, have taken the Titans to a score they would be confident of defending.
KKR will not be happy with the way they bowled, especially at the death. They kept bowling boundary-balls and Shankar kept punishing them. That damage could have been worse had Narine not bagged a three-wicket haul. Their bowling performance has left them with a mountain to climb but they will take heart from the fact that this is a good batting strip, and if their batters get in, there are runs to be had. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
Vijay Shankar: (Difference this season) It is just that I am enjoying a lot more. Last year, something was off. I did really well in domestic (this year). I just wanted to do well for my team. They retained me and I just wanted to give my 100%. The support staff have been helping me a lot since I joined the camp. Happy it worked well today. (On the tough phase in his international career) I was injured at the World Cup, I came out of that tournament and then did not get close to it. Getting into the Indian team is just part of our process and important for us to keep doing well. I really want to thank the NCA physios and trainers, and the physios and trainers here (for getting me in shape).
