5.30pm Abhimanyu Bose will return with the chase shortly. ESPNcricinfo's forecaster makes KKR 70% favourites.
Venkatesh Iyer: "Feels great. Coming to Mumbai and playing this game is special. From team's perspective, the job is still half done. Confident boys can defend. I think one thing that I am particular about is playing for the team when I go out there. Nothing else, not thinking about what's going to happen in the 16th over during the sixth over. (Key to defending this total) It was clearly evident that the cutters are holding a lot. Slower balls are effective so are the spin bowlers. We have an amazing trio of spinners. Wickets upfront will be key honestly."
lebigfella: "So the rest of KKR scored 81 off 69 balls⊠should've been 200 . Mumbai know they're in with a huge chance "
5.26pm Only 45 runs in the last five overs, very low for KKR's standards and the IPL's usual rate. Venkatesh Iyer went hard at his shots - some were cleanly hit, some were streaky, but at the end of it all, he made 104. Those were very important runs, especially since he got them in 51 balls. The other KKR batters struggled, with nobody really looking in control. Piyush Chawla the pick of the Mumbai bowlers. Meredith, Shokeen impressed too. Their fielding was superlative, probably saving 12-15 runs minimum.
The pitch is not easy to bat on, though. Iyer said after his century that cutters and slower balls are working well. Kolkata Knight Riders have three unique spinners. Let's see how the chase happens for Mumbai, who have only one win in three games so far.
