R Ashwin: If we would have been a little smarter, we could have kept them down by 10 more runs. You can't get away here like some other grounds. You need to play good cricketing shots here and you get value for that. If we get off to a good start, back good, cricketing shots, we should be able to get this done. We need to bide our time. Not one of those pitches where you can come in and tee off.

9:12pm An exceptional bowling display by RR and they have kept this strong LSG batting unit down to 154. LSG did not lose a wicket in the powerplay but only managed 37. That set the tone the rest of the innings and barring a few spurts, where runs came quickly, they struggled. Their utilisation of Pooran and Stoinis also left a bit to be desired and in the end, it felt that they had too much to do.

Credit, though, must be given to RR and the way they bowled. Most of their bowlers did not give the batters width and that worked on a pitch that was not very easy for stroke-play.
