6:04pm Phew, that was a very eventful innings. Gurbaz called the shots in the powerplay and ensured that KKR raced out of the traps, even as they lost a couple of wickets. There was a brief lull thereafter but just like in the powerplay, Gurbaz kept finding the fence whenever KKR needed him to. His sumptuous knock offset Iyer and Rinku's struggles and set the platform for Russell and Wiese - both of whom cleared the fence towards the end and got KKR up to 179.
GT will not be very displeased with this bowling effort, considering six-hitting is not very tough at this venue. Rashid, though, came in for a bit of tap but Little was exceptional, giving away only 25 runs and picking up two wickets. Noor also continued his recent upward trajectory and those performances have meant that GT now have a total they will back themselves to hunt down. Do join us in a bit for the run-chase!
Andre Russell: Feeling good, thanks again for the birthday wishes. I think, looking at the scoreboard, I am not really happy. We have good bowlers and we can fight with this total. (On the pitch) It looks like a 190-200 wicket so we are 20 runs short. We have only ourselves to blame for that. But I am backing our bowlers, including myself. (On his 100th game for KKR) It means a lot. I can't explain it in words. The love I get in Kolkata is just amazing and it is tremendous to represent this franchise. It is like a family.
