Mohit Sharma: I think the ball is sticking a bit. Even the quicker ones were spongy early on due to the moisture, then the slower ones stuck a bit. On this wicket, 172 is a good score and they have a good bowling line-up. We have to bat well to chase this down. On this pitch, it is important to keep the pace off, on the shorter side and away from the batters. No dew at all.

9:19pm: After a great start, CSK's batters string a few cameos to get up to 172. Looks like there's dew at the ground but the ball wasn't coming on evenly, so it'll be a tricky chase. Nalkande's no-ball gave Gaikwad an early life and the batter capitalised with big shots. Conway tried to play second fiddle, which he did, but failed to change gears as the innings progressed. Pandya stuck to five bowlers, gave the spinners powerplay overs. But it was in the middle overs where they gained some control. Nonetheless CSK's batters, with the likes of Rahane, Rayudu, Jadeja, chipped in with cameos to put up a good score.
