9.56pm After being beaten by CSK at Chepauk in the first qualifier, GT responded by racking up 233 for 3 in the second qualifier in Ahmedabad on the back of Gill's sensational 60-ball 129. Gill puts his orange cap and speaks and this is not verbatim: It feels nice and we feel we have a good total on the board. I sweated a lot and there was some sweat in my eyes too. Yes, it [the shorter boundary] definitely plays a part and you have to be aware which side to target. When they [the opposition] bowl in good areas, you look for doubles and you take on the smaller boundaries. The ball stopped swinging after two overs and got easier later in the innings. If it's possible, I will definitely carry it [Ahmedabad pitch] everywhere we play.
S Rajesh: Luck Index reckons the cost of that Tim David drop is 23 runs. Dropped when on 30 off 19, he scored 129 off 60, so he scored 99 extra runs off 40 balls after the drop. According to Luck Index, the other batters would have scored 76 off those 40 balls
Time to ice my fingers. Ekanth will be back with you for MI's chase. Cheers
Raghav: "Don't rule out MI so early, they chased 200 vs RCB with 21 balls to spare, and this time ball is not gripping !"
George: "Sai Sudarshan was 36(24) when Tom Moody wanted him retired out. He finally retired out at 43(31).7 balls yielded just 7 runs."
Kishore Kumar: "Last match 5-5, this match 1-52. This is cricket and this is life."
Hari: "As a MI fan, I feel it's curtains for MI. Not even SKY can save them today."
