9.12pm With a bit of dew settling in, CSK hold all the aces as we take a small break. For most of the first innings, it was the Ravindra Jadeja show. He took a tough catch first ball of the game, then returned to bowl a miserly spell that included three wickets, and continued contributing on the field later. Theeshana's spell was enterprising even if he didn't get as many rewards, and Tushar Deshpande bowled some smart lines and lengths against KKR's batters who came with some big-hitting reputation. Mustafizur Rahman was simply marvelous, finishing with 2-22.
The only bright spot for KKR was their powerplay performance, where they made 56 for 1 courtesy Narine and Angkrish. It would worry them just how much Shreyas and Rinku (and a few others) struggled on a two-paced surface. They've already named Anukul Roy as the impact sub, so let's see if he has the same type of impact like Jadeja. Be back with the chase soon.
Ravindra Jadeja: (On 100 catches) I don't count my catches [smiles]. Mustafizur has been great with his change-ups. This should be a target we can chase comfortably."
Pratheek Jain: "CSK ought to change their name to Pythons. They strangle the opposition and squeeze them into a surrender. And take their own sweet time to do it. Never in any hurry whatsoever."
