3.35pm Handing over controls to Deiva. See you around.

Jake: "NZ have missed Colin Munro in the middle order in this tournament. He has the ability to score quick runs at the end of the innings more so than any other player in NZ, but was not picked... He can bowl a few overs too, surely would have been a better option than Neesham."

Asif: "How many overs BD can take to chase down the target if they want their run-rate to be positive? (currently BD's run rate is -0.407)" --- They'll have to get 266 in 46.5 overs.

khrabbe: "If Bangladesh wins today and then Aus vs Eng wash out, both BD and Aus will have 3 points each.. who will go through ? --- Bangladesh, because they will have more wins.

David : "All to play for here with possible semifinal place up for grabs
provided England can KO the Aussies tomorrow
so can Bangladesh reach a global semi for first time? "

Michael: "30 runs too short. Seriously we need to look at this batting line up, we cannot keep relying upon Kane and Ross."

Zee: "I think we are in for the first nail-biter of Champions trophy. This is no cake walk for Bangladesh with the NZ bowling lineup. Bring on the chase :)"

shashank: "wow, this CT has been bewilderingly competitive, no one expected SL Pak or Ban to turn up and give the top 5 a run for their money, they haven't just turned up but held their own and have a fighting chance now"

Sudha: "BAN has done extremely good in last 15 overs or rather I can say NZ has done terrible bad in last 15 overs. Whatever it is BAN is placed at very good position at the end of first innings."

Only England are through to the semi-finals so far. Play the predictor and tell us who will finish where.

3.20pm We spoke about New Zealand's middle order weakness and Bangaldesh's bowling one at the start of the match. Only one of them remains visible at the moment. What a stunning finish from Bangladesh. They rattled New Zealand at the start and didn't allow Guptill or Ronchi to run away with the game. That meant Williamson and Taylor couldn't take too many risks. The problem with that - you leave too much for the lower order to do.
And Mosaddek wasn't going to let them do anything. A finger spinner, starting in the 42nd over. It looked odd but he dismantled New Zealand. Did his job, set it up for the pacers, and they didn't disappoint. Bangladesh are a lot closer to semi-final spot now than they were at the start of the match. Will the batsmen follow suit?

Rubel Hossain to Southee, FOUR, sa goodwill gesture from Rubel to finish off. A thigh-high full toss at leg stump to Southee who has already shuffled across and is inside the line. Swings hard at it, turns it fine

1
Rubel Hossain to Santner, 1 run, overpitched at middle stump, goes for the heave over midwicket but can't get under it. Gets it off the toe-end to the fielder in the circle there

Rubel Hossain to Santner, no run, away-dipping yorker, fired in at middle stump, jammed back at the bowler

0
Rubel Hossain to Santner, no run, overpitched on the leg stump, some signs of a loose ball, but Santner can't connect on the flick. Off the pad and to the keeper

2
Rubel Hossain to Santner, 2 runs, full toss, starts at leg, ends up off stump. Santner is not picking this, clearly. Goes leg side, closes the face early, gets a big leading edge to third man...who mucks up a simple pick up and gets an earful from the bowler

Rubel Hossain to Southee, 1 run, good thought. Expects the off-stump yorker, goes for the ramp, but the timing is his failing. Gets it with no power to short fine

Rubel will bowl the last over
