Sri Lanka have managed a decent 253 after appearing to struggle throughout their innings. Not many boundaries were hit, but the pitch has been slow and batting hasn't been easy. Nothing to take away from the Afghanistan bowlers who kept the pressure up on the batsman and no loose deliveries were offered. An example of that was how Thisara Perera failed to find the boundary in 23 balls - that must be rare.. It's going to be a tough chase for Afghanistan, but they have shown the ability to surprise. Sangakkara says Afghanistan bowled very well and read the wicket perfectly. We will be back soon for the chase..

James: "Think Sri Lanka have got away a bit there. 41 in the last 3 overs might be a killer."

Michael: "Quite right, prior to this match Perera had found the boundary 84 times (57 4s 27 6s) from 748 balls in ODIs; once every 8.9 balls. With that frequency you would expect him to hit a boundary in an innings of 23 balls about 14 out of 15 times."

Dawlat Zadran to Mathews, 5 no balls, oh that is a beamer! it slipped off his hand, the batsman falls away to avoid that and the keeper had no chance too..It's his second beamer, he is being taken off the attack..

4
Dawlat Zadran to Mathews, FOUR, it's time to swing now and swing he does, picks up the length delivery from middle stump, swings across the line to get it over midwicket and there is no one out there to stop that

Dawlat Zadran to Mathews, no run, Excellent slower delivery! Bamboozles the batsman. He is made to wait, then pushes it back to the bowler

Last over of the innings, it's already a good score on this pitch.. How far can SL take this?
