We are back for the chase. Slight rain falling at the moment but no issues as of now. Devine and Bates are in the middle. Jahanara has the new ball. A wide slip in place.
Frances Mackay: It's a little damp, little bit slippery, excited to back there. We did a good job after the initial overs and happy to have contributed. I spun maybe two balls in the whole innings, bit of a road down there. Not really, when the batters come after me, that's when there's a chance for the spinners. Very Dunedin, the groundstaff have done an outstanding job.
swami: "Bangladesh seems very well coached, their aggression, running between wickets, lower order batting"
Shaleen: "I like the use of "batter" as gender-neutral nouns. However, why are Men teams are written as only country name "
5pm: Good effort from Bangladesh to make 140 in the 27 overs. The openers started off well, using the pace and utilising the powerplay. The pacers were taken for runs and Devine soon brought on the spinners which slowed down the momentum. Wickets came too. But Fargana Hoque continued on and made fifty. The spinners pulled things back and ensured Bangladesh did not get anywhere close to the 175-200 mark. The conditions are damp and there's rain in the air. Back for the reply very soon...
Jahanara Alam run out 2 (6m 3b 0x4 0x6) SR: 66.66
Daniel: "swami: Third umpire definitely made the right decision. It is quite obvious from the reply that her bat was still on its way down as the bails were broken and only grounded after that."

Prakhar Sachdeo: "We saw something very similar to Fargana Hoque's dismissal in the New Zealand series against India. Harmanpreet Kaur was the victim that time. "
Adnan: "Is it just me that saw that as out, the bat wasn't grounded when the bails lit up, you don't need to look at multiple replays, all you need is one frame."
