And for those wondering, here is a list of Oman's best bowling figures in T20Is. Zeeshan's effort from today ranks joint 7th.

Charles Amini: I enjoyed it very much. We were looking at around 160. The wicket is a pretty good one. We fell short. Our captain Assad and I thought we would rebuild, we knew we could cover up runs later. Losing me at that crucial period slowed down our run-rate. I think just silly errors we made from our batsmen. Oman bowled well but we made errors. The journey so far has been unreal, I'm excited to show our bowling. We're both excited and nervous. Have to bowl out of skins to defend it but we have the bowlers for it.

3.39pm: So PNG end up with 129 for 9. Gives their bowlers something to bowl at, but it's a lot less than what they looked like getting at one point. Amini was run out when absolutely purring, Vala played a good hand but the glory for this innings belongs to the other captain, Zeeshan Maqsood. He has figures of 4 for 20. He turned the game on its head in the 16th over, with three wickets nipped out as PNG's strong foundation was derailed.

Albab: "Disappointing outcome from PNG's promising start. Honestly expected they might score 150 and might cause a possible upset. " --- That Amini run out was a crucial moment. Possibly Zeeshan tumbling into Vala was too, because he seemed to trust his running less after that and looked to only hit out.

Our stats whiz Sampath tells me: Zeeshan Maqsood is only the second captain with a 4-wicket haul in men's T20 World Cup. Daniel Vettori took 4/20 vs India in 2007.

Zeeshan Maqsood to Ravu, OUT, stunning catch at long-on with Nadeem timing his jump to a nicety. This looked like it was headed over the boundary, full in the slot and he had a full-blooded golf swing at it. Travelled a bit flatter than he intended perhaps but seemed to have enough legs to clear Nadeem. But the fielder showed Michael Jordan-like hang-time in leaping up and holding on, then landing with a stable base so that no danger of stepping over the boundary.

Bilal Khan to Atai, OUT, short ball does the trick. He set himself up to pull but this got big on him and he only gets a tame top-edge that midwicket does well to catch, taking a few steps backwards and holding it over his left shoulder, tumbling but not letting the ball go.
