7.41pm What a performance from Afghanistan's batting might! They've set Scotland a stiff 191 and it has to come against a powerful spin attack. First it was the openers who raced past 50 in the powerplay, and then came another fifty stand between Gurbaz and Najibullah that set the platform for their powerful finish. Gurbaz wasn't scoring that quickly initially, but Najibullah kept going for the boundaries, and both of them targeted the shorter square boundary. Scotland will have a look at the lengths they bowled, some of them landed right in the slot, and they could have perhaps used the slower balls with hard lengths a bit more. Watt says this is par at Sharjah. Can Scotland chase it down? Find out with Saurabh soon

Mark Watt: we wanted to protect the shorter boundary, they got the right0hand combination. 190 is probably par on this. Hopefully we can hit more sixes than they did.

Dipanjan Show: "Expect Afghan spinners to get smacked in this small ground."

Stuart: "On no surface ever is 190 par on a T20 deck. Good luck Scotland! "

Kapil Baldawa: "Ridiculous that how wickets in Sharjah have changed for WC and were dead slow in IPL. Feel so terrible for RCB and DC. CSK got lucky at the end"

Sharif to Najibullah Zadran, OUT, holes out to deep midwicket on the last ball. Nearly in the block hole on leg, he middles the powerful flick but it's gone straight to the fielder

Najibullah Zadran c Wheal b Sharif 59 (53m 34b 5x4 3x6) SR: 173.52

14 so far, last ball. We have 190 already. Coetzer has a chat with the bowler to set the field

Sharif to Najibullah Zadran, SIX, smoked over long-on, it's gone over the roof! Offcutter in the slot, can't be bowling on length or full at this stage, and Najibullah absolutely middles it down the ground. What a belligerent strike
19.4
1
Sharif to Mohammad Nabi, 1 run, on length outside off, finds long-on with his big swing for one
19.3
4
Sharif to Mohammad Nabi, FOUR, beats a diving fine leg fielder, one-bounce four! Slow offcutting bouncer, Nabi waits before pulling it away and gets a top edge that's thick and quick enough to beat the fielder in the deep
19.2
1
Sharif to Najibullah Zadran, 1 run, 129kmh, swings big for the full ball on middle, and gets a thick inside edge to long leg for one

Davey to Mohammad Nabi, 2 runs, slices the wide yorker just over point this time and they get two more
18.5
4
Davey to Mohammad Nabi, FOUR, deep in the crease, drills the full ball back over the bowler and that rockets to the straight boundary to beat a sliding effort from long-off
18.4
1
Davey to Najibullah Zadran, 1 run, slow bouncer and he pulls it to deep square leg to get to his fifty off 30 balls, what a smashing knock this has been

Nabi comes out, but Najibullah on strike on 49 off 29

18.3
W
Davey to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, OUT, toe-edge goes high and cover runs across to mid-off to finally break the stand. Attempted yorker is a low full toss, Gurbaz swings down the ground but doesn't middle it, and skies it on the off side for an easy catch

Rahmanullah Gurbaz c Coetzer b Davey 46 (64m 37b 1x4 4x6) SR: 124.32

Ankur: "are there 2 reviews per innings?" Yep

Davey to Najibullah Zadran, 1 run, low and on middle stump again, works it towards deep square leg for one this time

Vishal Poojary: "Clinical batting performance by Afghanistan so far!"

Watt to Najibullah Zadran, 1 run, better ball to end the over, into the stumps with the angle and he clips it to leg for one. Keeps strike as well
17.5
6
Watt to Najibullah Zadran, SIX, too wide outside off, it's full as well, and Najibullah is not going to spare those. Enough room to free his arms and he does it with glee by lofting it over wide long-off for six more!
17.4
1lb
Watt to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 1 leg bye, big appeal from Watt for the lbw as he's struck in front of leg, goes fine on the leg side for a leg side, and the umpire says no. Watt looks pretty confident, so Scotland go for the review. Full on leg, Gurbaz misses the sweep, UltraEdge shows there's no bat and ball-tracking says pitches in line, hitting in line but going well down leg

Around to the right-handed Gurbaz

17.3
1
Watt to Najibullah Zadran, 1 run, swings big again, can only get a single to long off
17.2
4
Watt to Najibullah Zadran, FOUR, goes high downtown, he hasn't quite middled it as Watt sends down a scrambled seam, not a yorker this time, but Najibullah has got enough to send it all the way straight down the ground

Switches to over the wicket

17.2
1w
Watt to Najibullah Zadran, 1 wide, similar length but it's down leg for a wide
17.1

16.5
1
Wheal to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 1 run, eyes the leg side boundary again, but doesn't middle it and has to settle for one
16.4
6
Wheal to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, SIX, no need to run this time, it's gone towards the roof! On length just outside off, he shuffles across to get close to it and it's right in his arc to dispatch it into the sky over the wide long-on boundary

Nikhil: "@Ishq Seems like Gurbaz received your message."

Afghanistan need to be careful about short runs, if they're running so hard for twos

16.3
1
Wheal to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, 1 run, shuffles across this time and gets a thick inside edge to deep backward. Another dive to complete the second, and another one goes upstairs for the run out. They will check for the short run again, the third umpire says. Not a short run at the bowler's end at least, replays show. Oh, it's a short one at the other end, Najibullah's bat didn't even touch the crease. And it's not out for the run out, but it's changes to a single for the short run
16.2
6
Wheal to Rahmanullah Gurbaz, SIX, and now from Rahmanullah Gurbaz! Takes a tiny step inside the crease to line up for the shot, it's not completely full but his bat swing will take care of that. Clean six over long-on!

Projected score hovering between 175 and 180

16.1
1lb
Wheal to Najibullah Zadran, 1 leg bye, leg bye as the ball goes off the pad from leg stump line towards square leg

Wheal wheels in for his last, around the wicket

Ishq: "Could you please tell Gurbaz to accelerate? No need of anchoring when you have Nabi and Rashid at hut waiting for unleash!" I'm not that close to him, honestly
