Charith Asalanka: I am very pleased with this performance by the team. Good total on the board and now we have to defend it. It's above par, yes. We were talking about 170, and it's now 189. Specially want to mention Pathum Nissanka, brilliant batting. Kusal Janith had a great start and even Dasun Shanaka the captain did well at the end. Looks a good surface to bat on. I'll just tell the bowlers to bowl straight lines, don't give room to batsmen.

7.48pm: Superb show by Sri Lanka, even though Rampaul bowled a fine last over. 189 for 3 is a massive score and will take some chasing from West Indies. They'll need all of their famed firepower to come off. Kusal Perera did the early running, Nissanka anchored with a pretty fifty and Asalanka grabbed the bowling by the scruff of its neck. West Indies were a bit ragged in the field, and with the ball, but that shouldn't take away from what was a fine Sri Lankan performance.
