10.15pm: That was a curious innings from West Indies. The top four all made between 23 and 38 but no one went on - with Johnson Charles and Nicholas Pooran both looking particularly laboured. Rovman Powell and Sherfane Rutherford played innings that suggested run-scoring shouldn't have been so difficult, and 180 for the loss of just four wickets (along with Brandon King retiring hurt) feels a tad underpowered. Can England prove that to be the case? Find out with S Sudarshanan shortly

"I thought we bowled exceptionally, kept it tight," says Adil Rashid. "Just tried to express myself, test the pitch, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't."

More insightful, perhaps, is this stat from my colleague Sampath: "51 dot balls by West Indies batters today are the most in a 180-plus total at the men's T20 World Cup. The previous highest was 50 dot balls by West Indies vs India in the 2016 semis, where they made 196/3 in 19.4 overs."

Archer to Shepherd, no run, back of a length, 148kph/92mph and Shepherd misses again! This time Buttler fires in the throw and they don't chance one. England will have to chase 181, and probably the happier at halfway

Archer to Shepherd, 2 byes, bumper, 138kph and Shepherd swings unsuccessfully at it... but they steal a bye to the keeper, and then another as Archer attempts to underarm into the non-striker's stumps and misses

Archer to Rutherford, 1 run, full outside off, 149kph/93mph and drilled down to long-off for one

2
Archer to Rutherford, 2 runs, full toss outside off, 143kph/89mph. Slapped over the infield and they get back for two despite some miscommunication between the batters

"Curran's just the over England needed." Indeed, John

Archer to Rutherford, SIX, short and clobbered, all the way! Picked the offcutter, I think, and it's a short hit, 69 metres over deep backward point
