10.12pm Melinda Farrell informs me that the rain got heavy (heavier than usual) during the end of the innings. That also forced the groundstaff to bring on the covers. But I hear the "rain is easing" now. Be back shortly with the start of the chase. Andrew McGlashan will be there.

Mahneel: "Bdesh lost a lot of momentum from that Liton Das slowburner. "

10.11pm Bangladesh never really went to fourth gear, let alone fifth gear. Hridoy was definitely the pick of the Bangladesh batters but Shanto's hand was crucial too. Another disappointing outing from Shakib.

10.08pm Just a bit of rain as the teams walk out after the first innings. Australia with a solid all-round bowling performance where they didn't let Bangladesh ever get on top. There were atleast seven overs where Bangladesh scored under five runs, and only four overs where they got more than 10. Personally, Zampa was the pick of the bowlers, but Cummins' three wickets and the Starc-Hazlewood spells were excellent too.

Zampa: Conditions not too bad. We had the experience of playing here in the last game. Odd ball doing something, but it is a good wicket. The ball is coming out nicely for me. Got the full backing of my team-mates. (Total) I think that's ... definitely gettable if we bat well."

learning_to_fly: "I just have a weird feeling that its not going to be an easy chase for Australia. 140 is not that much but the average winning score at this ground is 136ish and the wicket is starting to look more and more sluggish."

Cummins to Tanzim Hasan Sakib, 1 run, Bangladesh finish on 140/8 as this full ball outside off is slashed to Zampa at deep third. Bit of shower coming across the ground as the innings comes to a close.

Cummins to Tanzim Hasan Sakib, 2 runs, good length ball on off stump. Tanzim commits to a shot and lifts it over the leg side. In the air but lands well short of David at deep square leg. Two more
