India have the finishing kick they were after: the last five overs produced 62. This is the highest score at this ground in T20s. India looked to motor they way through the innings. It began with Rohit's turbo, Kohli then took that forward, but when India lost him and Surya in the same over, they needed a small period of consolidation. Dube struggled early on, but kept his composure and went after the spinners from a take-off point with Hardik finding his hitting gears right from get-go. You get the sense this may be a tad beyond Bangladesh, but stranger things have happened.
Here's Hardik Pandya chatting with Alison Mitchell: "Wicket looked alright, par would've been 180, we got 196. That's a good score here. With consistency and discipline, hopefully we can win. At the point Shivam went, couple of wickets were lost. He had to take his time, did well to recover. His strengths is to take down spin, when the time came when we could go hard, we could go after that. Definitely it tends to get slower in the end, some balls were sliding down when bowled at the right length, discipline and good bowling should do the job."
