4.47 pm Twenty eight runs off the last two overs helped Tridents post 142. Tallawahs would not be pleased by how the innings ended. For 16 overs, they had Tridents strangled, but then Malik, Parnell and Hosein added crucial runs towards the end. Tallawahs will now come into bat as the fourth team to bat on this strip today. All of that makes the chase all the more interesting. Akshay will be back with the start of the chase in just a litle while.

4.44 pm Imad Wasim says: "I'll take 2 for 16 in four overs any day. The pitch is on the slower side, it's keeping low. That's my kind of a wicket. If you hit the deck just back of a length, the pitch will do thing. Missing Russell, Steyn and Gayle was big. They're gone, they're gone. New team, new guys. We will put on a show. Life after winning Champions Trophy has been a dream come true. Now we are looking forward to the World Cup, we've moved on."

Mohammad Sami to Hosein, 3 runs, good length on leg stump, played down the ground to long on, they take off for as many runs as they can. They take one, and they're come back for a second. The throw misses the stumps, but Sami can't collect it either. oh no, overthrows to end the innings. They take an extra run
19.5
2
Mohammad Sami to Hosein, 2 runs, full outside off stump, drilled to long off and they're off for a two. Oh wait, Hosein slips at the non-strikers end while taking the turn for the second. They go for the second anyway, the throw's awry, and they're both safe
19.4
6
Mohammad Sami to Hosein, SIX, good length on middle stump, and we have the game's first six! He hits it through the ball's line and Sami's extra pace helps the ball fly over long off for a maximum
19.3
4
Mohammad Sami to Hosein, FOUR, good length outside off stump, the batsman slashes at it, and slashes at it hard. He wanted that to go over the cover fielder but the ball instead flies past the keeper's left to the third man region for a very useful boundary

Mohammad Sami to Hosein, no run, full on middle, hits it across the line, but the ball goes straight back to the bowler

Mohammad Sami to Hosein, 1 wide, oh dear, the ball slipped from his hand there. Very wide ball that goes full to the keeper. Second slip may have done well to hold on to that. The keeper did really well though

2
Mohammad Sami to Hosein, 2 runs, full on off stump, drilled past the fielder at cover towards the deep extra cover region, the batsmen are on fifth gear between the wickets, quick double

Santokie to Parnell, OUT, I can't believe my eyes! What a catch from Powell. Good length outside off stump and Parnell hoicks that back past the bowler's head. Looked it it was going for four - or maybe six - but Powell from long off covered a lot of distance to his left before jumping full-stretch to take that catch. He fell inches away from the boundary ropes. Very sedate celebrations though. A nominee for the Catch-of-the-Tournament award

Santokie to Parnell, FOUR, hip-high full toss drifting down Parnell's leg side, Parnell gets his bat to it (barely), but that's enough for the ball to go fine past the keeper for a four
18.3
1
Santokie to Hosein, 1 run, good length on middle, worked away to the leg side
18.2
2
Santokie to Hosein, 2 runs, slow ball just outside off stump, the batsman looks to send that from Miami to Mexico. The ball instead goes straight up, and there's a lot of hang time on this ball. Dropped! Santokie makes a mess of that catch, it bounces off his palm after it struck his hand. Tough luck

1
Santokie to Parnell, 1 run, full on off stump and drilled to cover. The batsmen need to hurry!, but they're in. A direct throw would've gotten Parnell though. Good cricket all around

1w
Santokie to Parnell, 1 wide, full and wide outside off stump, the umpire declares it as extras, Parnell chased that ball but missed it. Good thing for him that it was past the wide rail as well

Williams to Parnell, 1 run, good length on leg stump, plays an inside-out punch with soft hands to mid off. Soft enough for just a single. Helps him keep the strike

Williams to Hosein, 1 run, full on off stump, punched down the ground

1w
Williams to Hosein, 1 wide, full just outside leg stump and it's another slower ball, rolls his fingers across the ball's seam and that reduces the pace of the delivery, goes just past the batsman's leg side, two bounces to the keeper. It's called a wide, but Sangakkara thinks he may have got some pad on that

Hosein in now. His high score is 12. Tridents would take that at this stage. He would do better in giving the strike to Parnell though.

W
Williams to Shoaib Malik, OUT, Bring that notebook out. Williams ticks off another victim, good length on middle stump and Malik decides to go for the big one this time. Not enough power in his shot as the ball goes straight down deep mid wicket's throat. A useful innings comes to a premature end

1
Williams to Parnell, 1 run, good length on off stump and Parnell pulls it in front of the wicket. That would've gone for four, if it wasn't for Shoaib Malik at the non-strikers end. The ball smacks the Pakistan international on his shoulder and the ball loses its pace
17.2
1
Williams to Shoaib Malik, 1 run, full on leg stump, a well-directed slower yorker, Malik did well to dig that out back past the bowler

Williams to Parnell, 1 leg bye, good length outside leg stump, clatters Parnell's pad, who misses the whip to the leg side. Williams appeals but the umpire is not listening

Mohammad Sami to Shoaib Malik, FOUR, good length on middle stump but Malik expected that. He had made room already to hit that over the infield on the off side. He backed away and timed the ball perfectly over the point fielder. One-bounce four

Mohammad Sami to Parnell, 1 run, good length on off stump, cut away but without any power in that shot, cover has to run to his right to stop the second
