Cheeky from Breado: "Looks like the Tridents finally are peaking. Too bad it's in the last couple of overs in their 9th match with one to go and they have been already eliminated. "

Fifty-one runs off the last 23 balls. From what looked like 130, Tridents have finished with 166, a potentially match-winning score on a sluggish pitch. Jason Holder's hitting towards the end, they've got to thank for the late surge. Chase, who should've been given out much earlier to an lbw appeal, hung in to make a steady 38, during the course of which he largely played second fiddle. Among the bowlers, Ben Cutting was so poor - missing his lengths and line regularly - that it offset Tabraiz Shamsi's magic upon coming in for his first game this season. Can Patriots chase this down? Can Gayle make a big one and haul them over? All the answers shortly.

Joseph to Chase, 2 runs, Alzarri makes a right royal mess of the return catch, but this wasn't straightforward. Batsman shapes to pull, gets it high on the bat.
